We recently connected with Charles Perlie and have shared our conversation below.

Charles, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

So the back story of Dj Chuck and how it started I always been cooking my whole life and still do it now from today but I always listened to music and love the different genres since I was a kid so as I got older I felt like I wanted to take interest of making my own music but not only that wanted to do what djs did to amuse and wow the crowd because it was the transitions they would do so as I got to practice it I seen I could do what other djs do and still learning my craft and getting better so this how my story of Dj Chuck started 🎼 🎵.

Charles, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

So the funny story about how I got into the industry I been in it already from when I use to dance with k swift and use to have friends I danced with as well and I had dance crews back in the day and I’m still in contact with some of them now and proud to see them still dancing and teaching well so make me feel good and I got into the Dj business starting from a market place to events at bars,churches, happy hours,etc .

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

The most effective strategy was promoting myself with my mixes and not only that just promoting myself to the public going to different spots and asking were they looking for a Dj .

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I think what has help was people giving me opportunities to Dj for them and they supporting and promoting me doing business with them and being their Dj and I appreciate everyone who has done that because it keeps me motivated to share my services and see everyone happy
