Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Charles Kagigebi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Charles, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Too often the media represents innovation as something magical that only high-flying tech billionaires and upstarts engage in – but the truth is almost every business owner has to regularly innovate in small and big ways in order for their businesses to survive and thrive. Can you share a story that highlights something innovative you’ve done over the course of your career?
When I started the Sober Driver Project
Charles, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I take people to detox, treatment, AODA meetings, we do sober activities during the weekend, and I designate drive people home or to a safe place if they’re too intoxicated to do so themselves.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
It all started with the group me and my friends created, Sober Visionz.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I had to make GoFundMe me accounts, ask for donations, do fundraisers, work, do side jobs, etc.
