Our mission is to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests celebrating life’s milestones or just out for a good time, we feel strongly that our passion and dedication to the highest level of service shines through to our guests.

I’m a native of Haiti, I didn’t just build a brand; I created a legacy. I welcome my guests and staff with warm southern hospitality. Chaz 51 Steakhouse, a place where dreams come alive one dish at a time with true spirit of resiliency, passion, and dedication.
My journey began in the warm heart of my home kitchen in Haiti, where fresh ingredients were not a luxury, but a way of life. Imagine the aroma of culinary creations wafting through open doorways, drawing in everyone who passed by. It was in this atmosphere of togetherness, where family meals were prepared with love, that I found my calling.
When I immigrated to the USA, I had a vision—to build my own empire. Nevertheless, life had other plans. I became the sole caretaker of my ill grandmother, working two jobs and attending school to fulfill my duty. Her final request was simple yet profound: take care of yourself. And that’s exactly what I did. I returned to the States with a promise in my heart—to make my grandmother proud!
In 2015, Chaz 51 Steakhouse was born. The number 51, representing the ages of my young family divided by five at the time, signifies the unity and love that I pour into my work. This steakhouse isn’t just a business; it’s the culmination of a dream, a tribute to my grandmother, and a testament to my unwavering spirit.
At Chaz 51, every dish tells a story. I reignited what it means to create a culinary experience that captivates locals and draws visitors from across the globe. When I think about what helped me build my reputation within the market, it all comes down to a few core principles that have guided me throughout my journey.
First and foremost, it’s the unwavering commitment to quality. From the very beginning, I made a promise to myself and to my guests that Chaz 51 Steakhouse would never compromise on the quality of our ingredients. This isn’t just about sourcing the freshest produce and the finest cuts of meat; it’s about ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen is a testament to excellence. People can taste the difference, and that’s something they remember and come back for.
Another critical factor has been our dedication to exceptional service. I believe that dining out should be an experience, not just a meal. That’s why we focus on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels valued. From the moment someone walks through our doors to the time they leave, we strive to make their visit memorable. My team and I are passionate about hospitality, and we go above and beyond to make sure our guests feel at home.
Innovation also plays a key role. The culinary world is always evolving, and staying ahead means constantly pushing the boundaries. How’d you meet your business partner?
I met my business partner, Ms. Dorothy, when she came in to support a Black-owned business on that memorable Juneteenth of 2020. The world was grappling with uncertainty, but in the middle of it all, there was an undeniable spark when she walked through the doors of Chaz 51 Steakhouse. Dorothy’s presence was like a beacon of hope, her warmth and kindness shining brightly even in those trying times.
From the very first conversation, we connected on a level that felt both inspiring and profound. She wasn’t just another patron; she quickly became a steadfast supporter of the restaurant and me. Her encouragement and belief in our mission were like a breath of fresh air. Dorothy’s visits became more frequent, and with each encounter, our friendship deepened. We laughed together, shared stories, and found solace in each other’s company during those uncertain months.
About six months later, our bond blossomed into something even more beautiful—we started dating. Dorothy’s support extended beyond the restaurant; she stood by me, lifting me up in ways I could never have anticipated. Her dedication, her ability to connect with our guests, and her unwavering belief in my vision became the foundation of our relationship.
And then, on January 1, 2024, we sealed our love with a vow. We married on the serene sands of Sarasota Beach, just the two of us, with the gentle waves as our witnesses. It was a moment of pure magic, a testament to the journey we had embarked upon together.
Though the restaurant industry wasn’t her domain, Dorothy’s dedication, support, and innate ability to connect with every guest have become our secret sauce. She brings a unique blend of empathy, warmth, and genuine care to Chaz 51 Steakhouse, enriching the experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Her influence has been transformative, turning our restaurant into not just a place to dine, but a haven of connection and community.
