Hi Charity, thanks for joining us today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
In 2008 while working at Sonic Drive-Inn, I met my first photography client. The sweet family was looking for a photographer to take their pictures, and I had just purchased my first camera.
We met at a local park and spent about two hours there. It was a family of three. We talked and laughed until we were tired and decided we had enough pictures. From that moment on, capturing people’s special moments in life became my favorite thing to do.

My name is Charity Simmons! Owner and lead photographer at Charity Photo Co. We are a photo team located in Dallas. We love bringing on associate photographers to help us serve our clients.
We get to work with photographers by hosting events, creating helpful resources, and photographing beautiful weddings and families.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We LOVE to blog! It is our favorite and most popular way of keeping in touch with our clients and fostering brand loyalty.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
There are many different ways to build your audience on social media. Our favorite is attending creative events like styled shoots and workshops to connect with other creatives in the industry. Most importantly, finding a way to connect that right for you is probably the most helpful insight we can share.
