We recently connected with Char Modelle and have shared our conversation below.
Char , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
One of the greatest risks I have taken, was saying yes to clients before I felt prepared to coach, manage or consult them. I said yes, then figured it out. I didn’t always know about the client’s niche, but I knew what I brought to the table so I trusted I could add value to them.
I have coached influencers, product developers, football analysts, performance coaches, real estate moguls, investors and more. It blows my mind to look back at some of the clients I have had.
One of the big turning points in my business was 2.5 years ago, when I was hired by Codie Sanchez to manage her Instagram account and help with branding. At the time her socials had no real direction, it needed a complete overhaul. She had a small team in place that I joined to turn that account, and others around. I didn’t know half the processes and strategies I know now. I had to learn. It took grinding many 12+ hour days, and to be honest I don’t think I looked up from my laptop and phone for those 18 months, not to mention I had other clients as well. It was like being a part of a mastermind. We all grew. I had grown her Linkedin, Instagram from 37k-400k, and her second account from 11k-100k+ @unconventionalaquisitions, and in turn was a part of the growing brand overall.
I had another client I learned from managing as well @michaelsartain, I now run his Men of Action content team along with my business. When contributing to 7 figure content machines, you learn the importance of growth and conversion in creating content. It’s also a must you listen to your followers needs, learn how to scale through collaboration, processes, story telling, and niche domination. No successful personal brand is an island, it takes a team.
I can’t prepare myself of the things I learned while working with my clients, I had to take every risk as an opportunity. Later, it feels less risky. You know what to do, and if you don’t…you learn. Because of that my business has always been in a state of growth and expanding.
I’ll never forget a quote I heard that rings so true for me “Every day I bite off more than I can chew, and I chew it.”

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
You want to dominate your niche and use Instagram as a funnel for growth? You want to know how to create content to support your brand? I am your girl. All organic growth is my expertise. No ads.
The biggest pain points I solve, is bringing my clients from a state of confusion — > clarity. How do I do that? I need to know what their mission and goals are, and I create plans based on that.
There is no guess work in this, with my help my clients are able to choose the niche that suits them, have a clear content strategy, and a personal brand plan in place that they can take immediate action on. Another important piece is integrating content into their lifestyle. You should be able to combine the two. Content creation should feel like a part of your life, but not interfere with it. So we discuss ways to maximize their time. Whether they’re creating reels on the road , sharing BTS of their work, or co-creating with their pet…I find the magical pieces that make their heartbeat and build on that as well.
A lot of people think of personal brands as just being the face of a company. It’s not. It’s so much more. Personal branding isn’t a checklist, it’s all about connection and community building, you need to ask yourself, what problem do you solve? How does my personal brand entertain or help others?
Many times I help build content teams. Rarely will you have time to build a business and a good content machine. You will need help. So I advise on this as well.
In a nutshell, I offer coaching (hands on, 30-90 day programs) and consulting, and reels services.
I have a course coming soon too, and you don’t want to miss this. It will cut your cost+ time of content creating in half (or more) using AI.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Let me tell you something that will blow your mind. I have a successful business and have never sent an email. Never marketed a product. Never paid for an ad. Nothing.
I have grown from word of mouth only. From referrals. I have had a steady flow of clients for over 4 years now. I have had to turn clients down.
This is my secret, go above and beyond. Go the extra mile just because you can. Build relationships, don’t grab business cards and call that networking. Actually connect with humans. Listen to what they need, don’t sell them something they don’t want.
Be so good they can’t ignore you. Let your work speak for itself.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Having my own personal brand has helped me in my market. I started out as an influencer, and was hired for influencer consulting to help other businesses. Then I took on managing social media. From there I had to make a decision on how I wanted to grow my Brand Social Consulting business next. It was tough for me, but I had to niche down. I had too many offers, so I dropped the influencer consulting to focus on personal branding and Instagram.
When you are multi passionate choosing a niche can feel like pulling teeth. Why? Because there is this huge fear in a lot of us, and it’s that if we niche down, we will cut away part of who we are. No one wants to feel that way.
But that isn’t it at all.
Choosing a niche gives you the FREEDOM to create. You now have a road map. A direction.
Once I niched down to personal branding for entrepreneurs who sell services or e-products, I was able to get clear on my own business and my clients could find me.
I even created a 10 step plan to niching down called Your Niche Guide, you can get it in my link in bio on @brandsocialconsulting
You can’t become known for something, if you try to be known for everything.
