Alright, Chapo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
Sooner, but there’s a time and a place for everything. And there’s nothing I can change about that now, because if I started sooner maybe I wouldn’t have all these stories to tell through my music like I do now. God has his purpose for you, but it’s not always clear.
Chapo , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well It started off with beat making/ producing. I got into making beats due to the fact that at the time I had my mouth wired shut, so I had to learn someway to express myself. Later on that led to rapping just recently to be honest. You know rapping now helps me seek a better understanding now when I work with an artist. I just want to let my peers and other people that I’ll work with in the future that I’m very serious about my craft. Whether it’s rapping, producing, or clothing. Which I just started too, though no website yet, however very soon though, for now follow the page @fried.etc.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes to be an influence on music like all the greats have been in the past. I just want to be able to say I did it in my own way. That I didn’t conform to nobody else’s idea and it worked. And at the end give all the glory to god for letting it happen the way it did.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Honestly I have a lot more growing I have to do on social media. I just started taking it serious last year. The only advice I can give as of right now is just be smart with it. Honestly if It wasn’t for the craft I’d hardly be on social media and I’d be a regular person, but since this day and age is driven by social media is driven so much by it I’ll id have to say is every post out your link in it. Have the link in your bio. Remind everybody every now and then to go check out your links and your work.
