Alright, Chantica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?

I pay attention to my clients. For example I have a client that goes to starbucks every morning. When i do my customer appreciations. I will purchase a gift card to starbucks, a thank you card and put some candy in a gift bag to let her know that i appreciate her. It’s just the little things that can make someone’s day!

Chantica, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I have been doing nails since I was 16yrs old. I not only wanted to help women and young girls look and feel good . I wanted them to feel like royalty! You may not have money but your nails look like you do! I want women to get nice and affordable services without breaking their pockets. I specialize in acrylic nails, but i do offer manicures, pedicures, and gel-x nail extensions.
What sets me apart from other nail techs is that i offer mentorship to young girls ages 12-17 who are considering becoming a nail technician. I provide them with tips and tricks and information about the nail industry that you are not able to learn in school.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

To gain followers on social media. I would research what the latest nail trends are. Then i would put my personal spin on it. Then i would ask my friends, clients and family members to repost the picture or video and tag me in it. Then i would also do nail giveaways. You would have to repost a picture, tag 3 of your friends in it and follow me. I would pick 2 people who would get a free full set .

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

Word of mouth has been the most effective strategy for me to grow my clientele. I have a client that drives an hour away to see me. Someone told her about me and now I’m the only person she allows to touch her nails now.
