We recently connected with Chante’ Williams-Stone and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Chante’, thanks for joining us today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
As a business owner I find great fulfillment in my work, especially when it’s driven by a personal mission or purpose, such as my father’s battle with ALS and my mother’s battle with Cancer.
Balancing the challenges and rewards of running a business can be quite different from having a regular job. As a business owner I often enjoy the freedom to make my own decisions and the satisfaction of building something meaningful. However, I also face unique pressures, such as financial risks and the responsibility of managing a team.
“Having spent most of my life in the corporate world, I’ve learned valuable lessons on how not to treat my clients and employees. One of my favorite Bible scriptures is, ‘To whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48), .’ I firmly believe that respect is due to everyone, and this principle forms a crucial foundation for my business. Both my employees and clients are on equal footing; if either disrespects the other, the employee will be terminated immediately, and the client’s agreement will be terminated immediately upon a proper investigation of the incident.”

Chante’, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
With a clear conscience, I cannot take credit for the business ventures I have undertaken. All the glory belongs to the Most High God.
Live Comfortable Home Care (LCHC) was founded with a deep sense of purpose and compassion.
I had to act swiftly when my father, the late Mr. Robert Williams, suffered a fatal accident in September 2020.. This happened very shortly after being made aware that he had recently been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease which is a form of ALS.
After, my husband Vincent Stone, and I cared for my father during his illness, God revealed to me a new purpose and vison for my life. In 2022, Live Comfortable Home Care, LLC was birthed in my spirit and formed.
Today, I successfully run LCHC with absolute and divine purpose. We provide care for the elderly with undeniable compassion!
In 2023, a new endeavor called COLOR was born. The idea behind COLOR was to gather groups of women from diverse backgrounds and invite them to engage in coloring God’s Word together, all while enjoying a cup of coffee in the warm and cozy ambiance of a delightful coffee shop in Springville, Al. During this time, God blessed me with the inspiration to create an acronym for COLOR, which stands for… Christ Omnipresent Love Offering Redemption.
COLOR’s mission is to invite the world on a journey filled with vibrant hues, unwavering faith, and joy of knowing you’re part of God’s grand design.
“Live Comfortable Home Care (LCHC) and COLOR are household names founded on Kingdom principles. LCHC provides care for the elderly and disabled in the comfort of their homes. COLOR offers a variety of products to wear, read, color, and journal and more, all with the aim of helping individuals deepen their relationship with God and discover their purpose on this earth.”
“When you walk with Christ Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you, He will reactivate and introduce you to the gifts and talents God has bestowed upon you. ‘Misguided Truth’ was written by me, inspired by the Holy Spirit. My prayer is that it helps those who are living and believing in a misguided truth about themselves
MISGUIDED TRUTH
Written By: Chante’ Williams-Stone
When I grow up I do not want to be like you
This is what I often told myself as a kid
Unbeknownst to me the very thing that I did not want to be, I became
Control was my coping mechanism and I did it so effortlessly
In my warp thinking, I thought being in control was the same as being
a leader, I needed to know everything
The problem with that was, I really wasn’t in control, there were
invisible spirits at work, good and evil tugging at me
When your DNA screams I want to be seen, you will do anything to
fulfill that need
When your mom was never seen by her mom and your dad never knew
his dad, how can the two really see you
I scratch my head while pondering my thoughts, as a kid you just want
to be love, was this really so hard
Can I admit that I inherited generational curses, face them head on
and give them to God to do away with
Or will I believe that I am better than those before me, just because I
don’t beat my kids and I cheer them on from the sidelines
Does this make me blind to the fact that I too have to bare my cross in
this lifetime or the next
I am not exempt that is what the Word say
While I am trying so hard not to be like you, I’m truly missing out on
who I was created to be
Staring at the glass, hunted by the past, fixated on me, myself and I,
who would dare challenge me
Pointing fingers at you and some pointing back at me, I realize we are
one in the same, but I refuse to let that be my name
I am a child of the most High God and He will deliver me from my past,
help me in my present and show me my future
I was lead by my misguided truth that I am nobody and nobody loves
me
It’s only when I repented and accepted Christ Jesus as my Lord and
Savior that I was able to cross out the misguided and focus on the
truth
Psalms 139:14, I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully
made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
“The lesson I had to unlearned was trust is not automatic. Trust has to be proven over time and there’s levels to access. I’ve learned in business there’s a fine line between personal and professional relationships. In the corporate world, there are many micro-managers, but my leadership style is quite the opposite. I strive to ensure that every employee knows they have a voice and that their opinions matter. We laugh and we joke, but when it is go- time, I expect everyone to bring their “A”game. However, I quickly realized that not everyone can transition smoothly from downtime to go-time. Just like any other business, there are periods of low activity and times when there’s a lot to do. When it was time for my in-office employees to step up, some struggled to transition, which affected their performance.
Seeing several employees falter in this area made me reflect on my leadership approach. I discovered that I was giving employees too much leeway and inviting them into my personal space before they had proven themselves. I can still be friendly without inviting them into my personal space and keep it all business.”

How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.
“I sell on Amazon, where you can find my books under Chante’ Williams-Stone, and through my Shopify site, colorprazz.shop. Amazon is a great platform for beginner self-publishing authors, offering an easy process from start to finish and a way to reach thousands of readers. Shopify is an excellent next step for eCommerce beginners. However, if you’re not familiar with the backend, you’ll need someone to help with the initial setup. I can recommend someone to assist with creating and executing your book idea and setting up Shopify.
I believe in the principle of ‘each one teach one’ and paying for the skills and knowledge God has gifted others with. Many people have been taught by society to do things on their own, but this mindset is flawed. We should all embrace a collaborative mindset, not a competitive one. The Bible says not to look to the left or right (Proverbs 4:27). When you embody a competitive mindset, you’re ultimately looking to the left and right, losing sight of your true purpose.”
