Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chamonix (Cha) Higginson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Chamonix (Cha) thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I always knew I wanted to pursue an artistic path but like so many creatives, I had the lingering self doubt implanted in my subconscious mind that it wasn’t possible to make a living as an artist. Freedom being one of my strongest values, I equated this to financial independence and so I always chose the “safer” option.
I spent countless hours brainstorming how to I use my creativity in service of my strategic mind. I studied Conceptual Interior Design in France where I grew up and moved to Australia for work experience in 2019. I specialised in corporate fitouts with a focus on improving wellbeing and productivity in the workplace through clever design psychology.
Being highly creative in all aspects of my work was fulfilling enough for a few years. In my own time, I continued drawing and designing concepts for creative projects that my heart yearned for.

Chamonix (Cha), before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started a creative business in 2015 when my son was born. I felt there was a gap in the market for elegant and minimal designs for family spaces. As a young mother, I was exhausted and overwhelmed and my home, that had once been my sanctuary, was suddenly overflowing with primary-coloured baby items. So I set out to create bespoke name frames and developed a range of sustainable and useful pieces for family homes with the tagline “Less things, more meaning”.
I developed my brand from the ground up with a powerful drive to prove myself to be more than “just a mum” and I succeeded… but burnt out in the process.
This led me to deep dive into my personal development journey and create monumental shifts in my own life in a short period of time. People around me started asking for my help and I became a coach somewhat by accident. I studied various modalities including RTT, an advanced form of hypnotherapy, and training in public speaking to host transformational events and workshops.
Through working with a mentor, I discovered that I had shamanic gifts and was working with energy on a deep soul level. Even though my mind didn’t fully understand how it all worked, I could feel the truth in it and it explained a lot of the experiences I’ve had my whole life and the phenomenal results my clients were getting from my sessions and events.
My heart never stopped yearning to create and I noticed that my clients were all receiving deep insights and creative inspiration after working with me. Without this necessarily being the focus of our session, the result of working with me was increased confidence, clarity and creativity. After hearing my audiences say time and time again that “I spoke straight to their heart and soul”, I slowly came to realise that my creative expression was activating others and helping them find their true path in life. This creative expression was channeled through my voice and my artwork.
I decided to craft unusual and fun experiences that invite individuals to play and remember who they were before the world got in the way. These experiences blend hands-on creativity, personal development and sustainable strategy in a fiercely compassionate and impactful way.
My signature process is called Heartscaping. I offer keynotes and workshop series to empower individuals to get out of their heads, reduce stress and activate their creative potential. Within organisations, I offer creative immersion experiences for teams to develop deeper connection and belonging by collaborating on the creation of a meaningful artwork together. This creates a visual anchor and tangible reminder of their shared vision, intention and connection.
My vibrational artworks are channelled pieces that I create for venues, reception areas and residential spaces to intentionally harmonise the dynamics within the space. I lose myself in the process and create pieces that give people a sense of calm, ease and focus. Ultimately, these pieces hold the frequency of flow state and can enhance an individual’s connection to their intuition.
My commissioned pieces are really fun to create as they involve a process of channeling an intention into tangible form. Imagine having an artwork that conveys the essence of your brand, priming your customers to interact with your company in an authentic and purposeful way. These pieces speak to visionary leaders who seek to communicate beyond words and standard marketing methods: they aspire to connect to the heart and soul of their customers and co-create a new way of being and interacting in this world.
When art is created with the intention of harmonising the energy field and activating consciousness, it holds a specific frequency for the energy body to calibrate to. By introducing vibrational artworks into physical spaces, we can access a higher frequency and align our actions, thoughts and behaviours to our most authentic expression of Self.
I believe that art has the power to transform us by connecting us to our true selves. When we are guided into a state of playful presence, we open up to new opportunities, inspiration and joy. I believe that is our purpose in this life: to become conscious creators and intentionally craft the reality that we desire. We all have something unique to offer this world, I aspire to use my gifts to help others uncover theirs and have the courage to use them.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to remind individuals of the complexity and innate beauty of their authentic soul’s expression across time and space. I strive to help raise the consciousness of the collective and reconnect individuals to their natural state and truth so they are free to live out their unique purpose.
I do this through creating elegant and multidimensional artworks that hold the vibration of a leader’s big vision to help them calibrate daily to its frequency so that together, we can create a new world.
What I know to be true is that each and every one of us has a purpose. It’s not in anyone’s best interest to be told what to do or shamed into being “better”, we are already under enough pressure and judgement.
More often than not, individuals do not realise that they are operating from a conditioned state. But once they are guided into awareness and reconnected wit their power, they get to use their free will. I believe in people because I’ve seen what happens when they reconnect with their truth, it’s magic! I simply seek to do my part in helping them believe and love themselves enough to pursue their unique purpose with ease and confidence.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Last year, I moved to NorthEast Arnhem Land in remote NT for my husband’s work. Moving from Perth (that was already remote enough for me!) to Nhulunbuy required a huge adjustment on a personal and professional level. I won’t lie, I was NOT thrilled. It took a while to process the resistance I felt and the grief of leaving behind my community and many professional opportunities I’d worked hard for.
I realised that ironically, one thing I’d been focusing on creating more of in my life was “spaciousness” and this is exactly what life had gifted me. What had originally seemed like a crumbling apart of what I had built tirelessly over the past few years turned out to the an opportunity to reset, evaluate and ask myself the much deeper questions.
I got a chance to ask myself if what I was spending most of my time doing in my business was really what I wanted… and the uncomfortable truth was simple, no (with a sigh and a squirm). I deeply desired to just be an artist but still believed, deep down, that it wasn’t available to me. After having spent years shifting my clients limiting beliefs around their purpose and talents, this was embarrassing to witness within myself!
I decided to finally give myself permission to be the artist I have always been. As soon as I made that decision, I felt tears streaming down my cheeks in relief. I realised that I wasn’t off track, I simply took the scenic route to embody everything I had to offer so that my art held layers of depth and meaning. My “why” has always been the same, I just shifted my “how” to match my hearts desire and purest source of joy.
I have come to realise time and time again that when we are stripped from everything we know or believe about ourselves, we are faced with an opportunity to either hold on to the past or step courageously into new beginnings. Even though this has been the story of my life, it still catches me off guard when I’m faced with change. But I have built trust in myself at every stage and with every experience, I allow myself to flow with more and more ease.
