We were lucky to catch up with Chaleiah Ann recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Chaleiah, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I knew from a young age that I wanted to do creative work. My mom always said I would grow up to be an actress but I was too shy for the stage. I’ve always been told that I had a creative and artistic side to me.

Chaleiah, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Chaleiah. About a year ago august decided to step into the creative side of myself that I have hidden. I first started with doing DIY projects on tiktok, then a creative photoshoot for my birthday, and earlier this year launched my youtube channel. I have so many creative ideas that I want to explore and share, especially travel content. I’ve been on a travel journey since May and can’t wait to continue. What sets me apart from others is my personality and drive. Once I have my mind set on something I’ll do anything I can to see it through. I draw people to me naturally, which speaks to my character and authenticity.
I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve gotten myself out into the creative world. Between traveling to different states/countries and starting a new job in June, I’ve been really busy but I’m excited to get back to making content about my life and getting my name out there.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Right now, the most rewarding thing is seeing my 8 year old niece look up to me. She has such a bright and bubbly personality, like me. Knowing that she looks up to me and wants to be like her aunt puts a huge smile on my face.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I started my creative journey a little later than I had hoped. I think many of the resources were there, but I didn’t have the confidence back then that I do now. Part of my confidence has came from knowing that there are a million other creatives out there on the same path. Understanding that I’m not alone would have given me a kick start sooner but I’m grateful to be where I am now.
