Alright, Chadwick thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the best boss, mentor, or leader you’ve ever worked with.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I guess you could call me a music entrepreneur. I am a singer/songwriter and performing trombone player. I also promote local music artists and own/host Karaoke Soul. I always wanted to be a musician but got married and had kids before I was able to get the ball rolling. I worked a “regular job” until I was about 45 years old. After a few life changes, I decided it’s now or never. Here we are at 52 – doing the damn thang!!! What sets me apart? I guess it’s the ability to put myself out there without fear of failure. That doesn’t mean I always succeed, but I don’t mind trying. I am most proud of the fact that I can be an inspiration to youngsters as well as late bloomers.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.

I think the non-creative may misunderstand the calculations of the creatives. A lot of time they think we are just winging it in life when the end-goal is quite clear in the artist’s mind. It’s an amazing thing to come up with a concept and see it all the way through. I’ve worked in on-creative spaces and actually loved it. I did get pretty frustrated, however, when I saw a simpler solution and wasn’t able to act on it.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

Please continue to support local live musicians and artists. Int starts at home and then grows. Your love and support keeps us going. Oh yea… put that phone down occasionally. and enjoy the intimate moment
