Chad, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
Yes, I been able to earn a living from my creative work. Because I don’t just DJ I created my own merch, and I draw, paint went to school for graphic design. Yes, it have been like that from day one. I started DJ to help get my brothers music out to local, and worldwide. This older guy that was helping us get our music out stated to me that I was the machine already we just need help to get our music, and me DJ on bigger platforms. I probably could sped up but I wouldn’t have learn to know the things that I know if I wouldn’t have went through anything.

Real DJ Goldie from Northside of Houston grew up in 5th ward I started taken my music career seriously in 2000. Form a rap group call Am/Gm (All Money Good Money with my little brother and cousin . I became a DJ to help get our music out to DJs radio stations going to different music comforts in different city’s SXSW festival’s etc. What set me different from others I had the business since at a young age, and we pretty much new what we wanted out the industry when we was serious about music doing as a therapy. When we was doing shows we was wearing our own merch and pressing up our own CDs to pass out are sell.. The thing i was proud of I had got of distribution deals with different labels overseas.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Our mission and drive was to stick to goal mission why was doing this. We use to make a contact with ourselves for a year to meet certain goal we wanted to accomplish.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
If they really your fans and supporter, and like what you doing they should support you in anyway possible buying merch come to your shows buy tickets support you online and offline.
