Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chad Hardy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Chad, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

I moved to Murfreesboro, TN to be with my now wife and bought into Guardian MMA a household gym that had been around nearly 20 years. The buisness was going under and I helped step in and save it turning it into one of the biggest mma gyms in Tennessee.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I started Martial arts when I was around 7 years old. Over the years of training I have earned my black belt in Jiu Jitsu and TKD. I have also trained Muay Thai and Boxing for over 15 years. I have a youtube channel that goes over martial arts techniques and mental health. My youtube channel has around 38 thousand subscribers. my youtube channel name is Chad The Beast Hardy. I won the world championships at the age of 17 in Jiu Jitsu.

Currently My gym offers Muay Thai, MMA, and Jiu Jitsu this sets us apart from most gyms in the area as we offer a little bit of everything and are the only MMA school in town. I am proud to be a part in the community building people up and helping them achieve their fighting and health goals

Let’s move on to buying businesses – can you talk to us about your experience with business acquisitions?

Guardian MMA is the first business I have purchased. I purchased the gym because I have been training there awhile and started teaching the classes there. One of my coaches, the owner of the gym, was retiring so I decided to buy him out.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I was able to build my reputation by winning tournaments and posting videos helping the community learn techniques from me for free on youtube.
