Cess , appreciate you joining us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
Currently I am focused on writing my next album. This is the most meaningful project I believe I’d made to date . This album is a mixture of Ecology by Marvin Gaye and The Chronic by Dr. Dre. The album will aggressively investigate the non productive acts that lead us all away from success . Such as lack of communication or the underestimation of others . These are just a few of the acts that I’m focused on talking about how they lead us away from being as productive as possible – still developing the title of the album .
Cess , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Continuing the good vibes and fresh lyrics is my main mission . As I record vocals to soulful beats I keep in mind that people must enjoy the music as well as learn from the music . This is how I am approaching my next album .
Writing everyday and listening to different kinds of music and instrumentals the producers I work with make is the key to my craft’s success.
I am most proud of my ability to collaborate with the most unique personalities. From producers to other recording artists and event organizers too. This is all important and what I am most proud of.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn working for someone , instead of working with people to achieve the best results. Years of slave mind sets passed this to me, which has not proved productive for anyone . However , working with people has proven to be the most productive way yield results that best benefit all parties involved.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Get the 90s vibes back that was the top billing of hip hop culture. When visual art , vocal art, sonic art , and human motion art was working together at critical mass and was truly inspiring worldwide culture so evidently.
