And here’s the thing I’m what you might call a rebel. I don’t just walk to the beat of my own drum; I’m out here with a whole orchestra. So, when it comes to heroes? Nah, I don’t really have any. But I do have people who’ve inspired me and helped shape the creator I am today especially in the world of theme park travel.

I’ve had more than a few people scratch their heads and ask why I’d want to build a career in this space. “You’re not gonna make real money,” “This isn’t a real career,” “You’re too old for that,” I’ve heard it all. But guess what? All those doubters just fueled my fire to prove them wrong. Every “no” pushed me harder to hit my goals and build something lasting in this field.

Let’s dive into the folks who’ve shaped my journey. I talk about them often, but since this is my first interview of 2025, let me give you the full scoop. I gravitate towards creators who stand out, who break the mold, and who do something no one else is doing. A few of my biggest inspirations? Dustin Sparage (Theme Park Shark), Kyle Pallo, PCDev, Jojo Crichton, The Pugh Two, and LiveWithUsTv. Each of them brings something unique to the table, and I’ve learned something from each of them.

I stumbled across Dustin’s YouTube channel in late 2020, and let’s just say it’s been a ride ever since. He’s not just a content creator; he’s become a true friend. What sets Dustin apart is his versatility. From theme park coverage to food reviews to merch, he does it all and he does it with a style that’s all his own. What people might not know? He’s the reason I even started TikTok streaming. He showed me the ropes, taught me about Discord, and has given me endless advice on navigating this theme park world. Oh, and did I mention his website is incredible? The man is a force, and I’m constantly inspired by him.

Now, let’s talk about PCDev and LiveWithUsTv. These creators hit different for me seeing people who look like me doing amazing things in a space where we’re often underrepresented really spoke to my soul. Representation matters, and these creators are a shining example of what’s possible. Watching them push boundaries and produce top tier content made me think, “If they can do it, why not me?” They’re living proof that you can be yourself, have fun, and thrive in what you love. And to see LiveWithUsTv thriving as a married couple? That struck a chord with me, too. This career takes time, dedication, and energy, but it can also bring you closer to the ones you love if you’re intentional about it. They may not know me, but I owe them a huge thank you for showing me what’s possible.

As for Kyle Pallo, Jojo Crichton, and The Pugh Two? These three remind me that creating content is supposed to be fun. It’s easy to get caught up in trends and what everyone else is doing, but they’ve all stayed true to themselves no matter what. Whether they’re having a good day, a bad day, or a downright rough one, they keep showing up and creating quality content. Life can be tough, and dealing with it publicly? That takes guts. Watching them navigate life with authenticity and resilience has been a massive inspiration for me.

So, while they may not be superheroes in the traditional sense, these creators are real heroes to me. They embody courage, determination, and the relentless pursuit of their dreams against all odds. And yeah, they’re incredibly inspiring.

Creating content isn’t just snapping a quick photo or hitting record it’s planning, prepping, and sometimes making sacrifices to ensure we’re delivering the best possible experiences for our audience.

Think about those marathon days in the sun 12+ hours of filming at a park, running from attraction to attraction, making sure we’re capturing the best content—all while trying not to let hunger or thirst slow us down. Even traffic can throw a wrench in the plan. Imagine rushing to get to a live stream on time, only to be stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, watching the minutes tick away. It’s stressful, but we push through because we know how much it means to our audience.
And then there’s the mental load of staying creative, consistent, and connected. Not every video edit comes out perfectly, and sometimes the vision in our heads just doesn’t translate to the final product. Those moments can be frustrating, especially when we hold ourselves to high standards to bring you the best content possible.

I think the biggest disconnect between creatives and supporters comes from the fact that we don’t always talk about these things. From the outside, it can seem effortless but behind every polished video or seamless stream, there’s a mountain of effort, challenges, and sometimes sleepless nights.

That said, we wouldn’t trade this for anything. Despite the hurdles, the long days, and the occasional missteps, the joy of connecting with people, inspiring them, and creating something meaningful makes it all worth it.
