We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Celisia Harris. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Celisia below.
Celisia, appreciate you joining us today. The first dollar your firm earns is always special. We’d love to hear about how you got your first client that wasn’t a friend or family.
After first successful repairing my own credit I began reaching out to my close family to start the process on those that needed/wanted the help. I provided a family discount of 50% off just to get my feet wet. I can remember helping my mom and dad regain their 700’s club score status very quickly. Once the results of my small customer base consistently proved to be good enough for me to reach out to others outside of my family I began the process of structuring my business and taking the necessary steps to become certified. This is what really gave me the confidence to go public. I remember telling myself “it’s up from here!” Lol
Celisia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Celisia Harris a St. Louis raised business professional and entrepreneur. The Business Development Manager for the St. Louis Metro at Keurig Dr Pepper and Owner at Status Credit Advisors LLC. Celisia has a passion for servicing the community as she serves on a few charitable boards. “The credit business sparked my attention many years ago as I prepared to purchase my first home. The process was much different back then and I only did what was necessary at the time to obtain my approval and didn’t look back until years later when I discovered the need of educating myself and my family on the importance of establishing, building and maintaining good credit.” Status Credit Advisors LLC is now 3 years old servicing over 400 clients through credit coaching, restoration, building and educating.
I’ve built this business solely through referrals in the middle of a pandemic.
At times I think to myself how did I get here and how do I get out.. lol
Still once you find a good successful way to help people I figure there’s no turning back!!! Don’t get me wrong this is not my final destination, through improvements to my automation process, my goal is to branch off into helping more people looking to start their own credit business and continue to educate and bring awareness to the importance of credit.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source to attract new clients for me has been through referrals.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Being able to show results is key in this business. Credit repair can sometimes be frond upon. There’s so many fraudulent companies and people that portray to be a reputable credit repair agent or business. I feel that referrals are usually sent from a trusted source.
