We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Celi Viloria a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Celi, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Every project I undertake as a professional organizer holds deep meaning for me. In a chaotic world, where every space tells a story, I cherish the opportunity to make a positive impact in people’s lives. But if I have to mention one project: A nursery room that just recently touched my heart.
A special mother reached out to me for help in organizing her nursery room. Overwhelmed with managing the boys’ room and preparing for the arrival of her baby, she sought comfort in bringing order to the chaos.
During our conversation, she shared with me the news that her baby would be born with Down syndrome. To her surprise, I revealed that my own baby also has Down syndrome. Instantly, a deep connection formed between us. She felt understood and reassured, knowing that I could relate to her journey on a personal level.
On the day she went into labor, she entrusted me and my team with her home. While she welcomed her precious baby, we transformed the nursery into a haven of love and warmth. With joy in our hearts, we carefully arranged the tiny clothes, organized shelves, and adorned the room with playful decorations. It was a small but meaningful contribution to creating a safe and loving environment for her little boy.
Witnessing the happiness of my client and relief brought me immense joy. Being part of this transformative journey bringing order and peace, enhancing efficiency and productivity, and nurturing emotional well-being, is both my passion and privilege.

Looking back on my creative journey, there is one resource I wish I had known about earlier: the power of community. Having a supportive network of like-minded professionals would have been invaluable during my early days. That’s why I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a wonderful community called @ProOrganizersLatinas. It’s a community where we uplift and assist each other in our professional organizing endeavors.
Through community I’ve discovered new techniques, learned from others’ experiences, and received encouragement during challenging times. It’s a place where ideas are exchanged, collaborations are formed, and friendships are forged.
Having this community now, I deeply appreciate the significance of having a network of supportive colleagues in the professional organizing field. I encourage anyone starting their business to seek out and embrace the power of community—it can truly make a remarkable difference.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a professional organizer is being able to work on my passion and bring happiness to people’s lives. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the positive impact of my work and witness the joy and satisfaction that comes from creating organized and harmonious spaces.
Moreover, the relationships I build with my clients are incredibly meaningful. Being trusted with their personal spaces and being able to support and guide them through the organizing process is a privilege. The connections formed and the gratitude expressed by clients are invaluable rewards that make my work even more fulfilling.
Making a difference in people’s lives through organization is truly rewarding and fuels my love for what I do.
