We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Celene Estrada. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Celene below.
Hi Celene , thanks for joining us today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
I started with the idea of learning about beauty related services in 2021, back in 2015 I thought of enrolling in school to learn how to do makeup. But I couldn’t do it because I was working full time ad an insurance agent and I had my son Aaron of 5 years old who was very excited about sports, wr have a lot of activities with him, my husband decided to start his own business in 2016 so I was supporting my family for a while it just didn’t seem like a good idea. I continued working at the insurance for few years, I was at a Pont where I wanted to start my own insurance agency but my husband started asking to grow our family, we tried for a year and finally we got pregnant with our second son Emi and that when I stopped working, soon after becoming a stay at home mom I started to feel the urge to something with my life I just didn’t know what then we got pregnant wit our 3rd son Maxi so I had my hands full. But my baby was only 6 months when I decided to take my first step into the beauty industry, my first certification was microblading, I liked but it was really hard to find the time to practice, then my sister had told me about lashifts so I took a class of lashlifts and brow lamination, I loved it I knew that’s how I wanted to do to get distracted from being a full time mom. After that I decided to go to esthetician school, it took me almost a year to finish but with the help from my cousin from Mexico I was able to do it, she’s a teacher in Mexico I asked her if she would help me watch my kids so I could go to school and she came for about 5 months to help me. Thank you to her support my husband and my family I became a licensed esthetician in 2021 then I continued to take more courses to be better at what I do. Right now my services include
Lashifts, brow lamination, body and facial wax, body sculpting, facials and lash extensions.
I also teach lashes and brows and I love to share my knowledge with other people because if I’m here doing it anyone can.
I currently work from home from a room my husband building on the side of our house in Anaheim Ca.
Everyone loves it they say is super cute and cozy the feel the good vibes from my personality and hard work.
I just wish I would have started back in 2015 when I first wanted to get into the beauty industry but now I’m here trying to inspire others to do it now
Celene , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Ups! I think I said all that on the previous question. I’m sorry I got excited
One of my passions and why I share my story with others is to help inspire women by creating a transformational experience based on their needs for skincare. I know if I can be a mother to 3 boys, work, and be in school, that you can do big things too! Most women who come to me, are very open about their own personal lives and tend to share with me a lot of information. It’s not just a service they are receiving it’s also a friendship and a safe space. When you come into my studio, we create a relaxing space for you to decompress and be your authentic self. Most my life I lived in a place where most women struggle with stepping into their power, and really having a good support system to help cheer them on along the way.
My mission is to help women enhance their beauty, and gain more confidence, by providing them with healthy and natural beauty & skincare services.
One of the many reasons I have created this business is to really help support the women of my culture and help empower women in showing them that they can do it too! Spanish Is my first language and English is my second. I have spent numerous hours of my time, dedication and love to create courses in Spanish to help guide and inspire women of my culture to never give up, and that they can do anything – as long as they seek their passion.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
When I first started I thought this would be my hobby but it soon became my passion
