Cecil, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Our company mission is to provide solutions to potential clients problems through our videography and photography services. We realized that clients have a great need for professional videography and photography services and we ask the right questions to help determine exactly what is needed and how we can work together to create a solution.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Mr. Cupid, a father, husband and the owner and lead creative at C Spot Media. We are a Maryland based company the serves Washington DC, Virginia and beyond. We are a small team of creatives who’s goal is to exceed the expectations of our clients with our services. All of our team is aligned with our core value which is customer service and the ensure that the client has the best experience possible while providing an exception experience and product. For me this journey started as hobby taking pictures of my kids at sporting events and providing photography for a friends events. Fast forward to 2015 when the business was created and it has been onward from there. I am self taught and always looking for every opportunity possible to improve skills, knowledge and processes so that our team can provide a better experience and produce for our clients. Currently we offer videography, photography and live stream services but be on the lookout because we will be offering drone services in the near future. The best feeling of being a business owner is the satisfaction we get from working with our clients and their reaction and gratitude for the services we provide. Potential clients have so many options when it comes to media services but just know that not all companies are created equally nor provide the same quality of service that we do at C Spot Media.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

During the pandemic the wedding industry had came to a halt due to the restrictions on gathering in large groups. This is when live streaming became very popular so with so much free time on our hands we decided to invest in ourselves and add this service to what we were currently providing. Live steam services is what helped us through the pandemic and we still provide this service to date, defiantly not at the same frequency as during the pandemic but it is still an option for out clients. A former bride reached out to me recently to say how important it was for her to have live streamed her wedding and how she was surprisingly shocked to see that it had over 18,000 views from friends and family, the only thing I could do was smile.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

As an entrepreneur/business owner, nobody tells you of the many hats that you have to wear or that there will be long hour associated with trying to get your business the reach a certain level of success. There is so much to learn and I wish that there was some kind of information on exactly what goes into creating a successful business. If I only when back then what I know now, but then again I guess thats everyones wish.
