We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ceaira Ellis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ceaira below.
Ceaira, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
One of the kindest things that anyone has ever done for me was take a chance on me to help launch my career. It’s extremely hard to break into the commercial real estate word. People can smell the green on you from a mile away. Having a mentor/broker that took a chance one me, helped me navigate through the tough transactions, and just helping navigate through the commercial real estate side was so kind. It definitely helped me to get to where I am today.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m caring, funny (in my own mind), chill person. I got into my industry by having a mentor that opened their own brokerage. Initially I was in residential real estate, but my broker/mentor asked me if I wanted to join their commercial brokerage and that they would give me all the essential tools and I could pass that up. It’s been amazing ever since. Our brokerage is a generalist brokerage where we offer everything from tenant representation to asset management. I’m most proud of my communication and work ethic with my clients. All of my clients know that I’m easily accessible and that I’ll work tirelessly to get the deal done.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been referrals, social media marketing and everyone’s favorite, cold calling.
Having relationships with residential agents/brokers, I feel, is important because you both become a referral source for each other.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with clients by using a CRM and also my calendar. I mark all of my client’s anniversaries in my calendar and give them a call on that day or around that time to check in to see how their business is going.
