We recently connected with Cayman Cardiff and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Cayman thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
This is a fascinating topic for me because I have actually done a lot of thinking on the subject. I started around 30 as an actor and while getting into it initially I thought it would have been so great had I gotten a head start earlier in my 20’s and how much further ahead I might be. As I gained a little success in the acting field and quickly became a full time working actor I realized that maybe the timing was meant to be. I realized that I have a wealth of life experience from school and college all the way to trips, language, communication skills, and other crazy backstory that makes me so much better of an actor. I have a deep pool of lived experiences, human interactions and emotional depth to use in my acting. I believe that without my age and hopefully a modicum of wisdom, that I would not have been able to be successful as an actor and “given up” on the endeavor had I tried it sooner. My age and my life circumstances made now the perfect time for me!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was approached by a manager in early 2023, his name is Irvin Gelb. He sent a blind email to me through Instagram at the time and said in his email that he thought I should be on his roster as his “leading Man” to which I promptly responded, “I don’t know what that means.” I was a premed student at the university of Utah at the time finishing my degree and hoping to go into medical school soon after. I was asked to meet up with Irv when I came to LA next and decided that I would do just that to hear him out. I didn’t know what an acting career entailed and I was intrigued. He told me what I needed to do and how to get started and then said I needed to move to LA. I said I needed to finish my degree but I would get started on the list of tasks. I ended up graduating with a Major in Spanish language and linguistics as well as a minor in health and then proceeded to move to LA to work and try to learn the necessary skills for acting.
When I got to LA I hit the ground running taking classes and starting to submit auditions. I had prior experience modeling and that helped me have nice photos as well as headshots to submit for auditions. I started getting more and more auditions and then I started to book things and I booked my first lifetime movie as a major supporting role in June of 2024 and have since then consistently worked as an actor.
I didn’t know what I was getting myself into but the first day on set of Betrayed by Love the Lifetime Network movie I was in, I knew that this was my calling and what I was meant to do.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal as an actor is to create art that inspires and motivates positive change in the world. I know that there is a lot that needs to happen to bring us all together and I believe that film and tv have the power and influence to impact the hearts and minds of the world,

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Acting feeds my soul! I get to experience raw human emotions that we usually don’t allow ourselves to express all the time. Plus, I get to be a goof all the time and that feeds my soul and allows the kid inside of me to just let loose.
