Hi Cathy, thanks for joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.

Absolutely—there were two defining moments that changed the entire trajectory of my professional life, and both came from deeply personal experiences with my own body.
The first happened when I was twenty-six, lying in a hospital bed after being rushed into emergency surgery for Crohn’s disease.
At the time, I was completing prerequisites for osteopathic school. I always envisioned myself becoming a physician who blended structure, physiology, and hands-on care—yet I had never truly questioned the limitations of the model I was preparing to enter.
That hospital stay changed everything.
I had tubes in my arms, a body that felt fragile and foreign, and a future that suddenly held more uncertainty than promise. The medications stabilized me, the surgery saved my life, but nothing resembled a roadmap for actual healing. For the first time, I saw clearly that while Western medicine is brilliant in a crisis, it does not offer a system for restoring health once the crisis has passed.
Lying there in recovery, I realized:
If I wanted to heal—not just survive—I needed to understand the deeper forces that govern repair, communication, and cellular intelligence.
That clarity opened the door to acupuncture, energy medicine, and the study of how emotions imprint into physiology. It was the beginning of decades of clinical work focused on autoimmune disorders, emotional resonance, and what I call “the issues in the tissues”—the stored patterns that shape both our health and our expression.
The second defining moment arrived at age forty-nine, and it was just as transformative.
By then, I had thriving clinics and a reputation for treating complex cases. I was helping people release emotional charge, restore flow, and reconnect with their own innate healing systems. But one day, I caught my reflection unexpectedly—and it stopped me.
My face didn’t match how I felt inside.
It wasn’t aging in a traditional sense; it was holding. Holding tension. Holding the imprint of earlier years of illness. Holding stories that no longer belonged to the woman I had become.
That moment was honest and confronting. And it revealed a blind spot in my own journey:
I had healed my body, but I hadn’t released the old patterns still visible on my face.
That realization shifted my professional focus again—this time into the world of fascia, lymphatics, expression, meridians, and the energetic signatures that shape the architecture of the face. I began studying how stress, emotion, trauma, and disconnection freeze the face, diminish limbic resonance, and alter how others experience us.
This insight ultimately led to the development of Tru Energy® Skincare, my work in Functional Esthetics™, and the larger movement toward Energy-Optimized® living. I wanted to create a way for women to free the emotional “holding” in their faces the same way I had helped their bodies for decades.

I’m an Acupuncture Physician and Energy Medicine Specialist who has spent 38 years helping people understand that the body is not just biological—it’s electrical, emotional, and deeply intelligent. My work sits at the intersection of science, energy, emotional expression, and natural beauty.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Reputation, for me, wasn’t built through marketing—it was built through consistency, integrity, and being willing to tell the truth in an industry that often avoids it.
I’ve spent 38 years in clinical practice, and one thing has remained constant:
I only teach what I’ve lived, and I only offer what I know works.
Clients feel that. Colleagues feel that. Audiences feel that. When your work is an extension of your integrity, you don’t have to chase reputation—it grows naturally.
Several things shaped how I became recognized in my market:
1. I stayed in my lane of truth—even when it wasn’t the popular lane.
I challenged the idea that aging should be fought.
I challenged the idea that the face should be frozen.
I challenged the idea that healing is purely physical.
And I did that long before it was trending.
2. I built my work on results, not promises.
Decades of clinical experience, a third-party study validating my natural facelift system, and thousands of real transformations created trust far more powerful than any marketing message.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Absolutely. One of the clearest examples of resilience in my journey comes from the 12-year process of trying to bring Tru Energy® to the world—a process that demanded vision, grit, reinvention, and more determination than I ever expected.
Before Tru Energy® ever became a product line, it was a clinical idea. I spent years in product development and R&D, creating prototypes, refining formulations, and testing tools with my patients. I needed proof—not theories or promises, but real results in real people. And I got them.
But having a successful prototype is only the beginning.
Once I knew it worked, I had to introduce the concept to a world that wasn’t ready for it. I pitched Tru Energy® to many marketing companies—companies who didn’t know what to do with a system that blended skincare, energy medicine, meridians, lymphatics, fascia, emotional expression, and frequency work. I heard every version of “interesting… but we don’t understand it.”
And yet, I kept going.
Then came the partnerships.
The first company believed in the system enough to co-produce an infomercial with me.
We filmed it, refined it, and released it to a pilot group. The results were strong. The enthusiasm was real.
But then the old industry mindset kicked in—this looks too good to be true.
Instead of scaling, they froze. They doubted the very results they had witnessed.
And the opportunity dissolved.
The second company shelved the system entirely while they released their own device.
They saw the potential, but they also saw competition.
My innovation became their roadmap—and my project was put on hold.
That was a defining lesson in alignment, integrity, and protecting original ideas.
The third company couldn’t grasp the unique selling position at all.
They didn’t understand the synergy of energy, tool, formula, frequencies, meridians, fascia, and lymph flow.
They didn’t understand what the Energy Highway™ was or why it mattered.
They didn’t understand the value of the Energy Optimized little green bead designed to support communication and flow.
To them, Tru Energy® didn’t fit the mold.
To me, that was exactly the point.
Ten years.
Three companies.
Dozens of pitches.
Multiple prototypes.
Endless explanations.
And every possible roadblock.
Through it all, I kept asking myself the same primary questions:

And is this the right product to stand behind—not just as a founder, but as a clinician?
Every time I asked, the answer was the same: yes.
