We recently connected with Cassidy McReynolds and have shared our conversation below.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Of course! I fell in love with wedding planning while organizing my own wedding. Throughout the process, I realized just how much I enjoyed bringing a vision to life! As a detail-oriented, Type A personality, I thrive on structure and precision—qualities that make me perfectly suited for this industry.
At More & Most Weddings, I offer full planning, partial planning, and coordination services. What truly sets me apart is my dedication to not only creating a seamless, beautiful wedding day but also building a genuine connection with my couples. I want you to feel like you can come to me with anything, knowing that I’m here to support and guide you every step of the way.
My ultimate goal as your planner and coordinator is to give you a completely stress-free experience. I meticulously handle every detail to ensure that your big day unfolds flawlessly, allowing you to be fully present in the moment.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I build with my clients. Leading up to the wedding, I take a thorough and thoughtful approach to planning, ensuring every couple gets the wedding they’ve always dreamed of. I still think back to my own wedding—how incredibly happy I was, not just because I was marrying my best friend, but because my vision had come to life. That’s exactly the feeling I want for every couple I work with!
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I truly believe that every wedding tells a story of resilience! No matter how much planning goes into the day, unexpected challenges always arise, requiring me to think quickly and make decisive choices to ensure my couples have the perfect wedding.
One moment that stands out was a wedding where the DJ was a no-show. Without missing a beat, I sent someone to buy a speaker, downloaded all the ceremony music, and made sure everything ran seamlessly. During the reception, I even stepped in as the Emcee—something far outside my comfort zone. Public speaking isn’t my strong suit, but I knew I had to rise to the occasion. I handled all the announcements, introductions, and music for the rest of the night while still managing coordination.
It was a true test of adaptability, and in the end, the couple had an unforgettable wedding day—exactly as they had envisioned. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do!
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Starting my journey in wedding planning was a major pivot for me. I had originally planned to pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, but as I approached graduation, I realized my passions had shifted. While mental health remains close to my heart, I discovered that my true calling was serving people in a different way—through creating unforgettable wedding experiences.
As I was finishing my undergraduate degree, I was also deep into planning my own wedding, which turned out to be the perfect opportunity for a career shift. After we got married, I told my husband that I wanted to pursue wedding planning professionally. I began by working as a coordinator for several established wedding planning companies, immersing myself in the industry and learning the ins and outs of the process. I quickly advanced to a lead coordinator role, gaining hands-on experience with every aspect of planning.
I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing mentors who guided me along the way, equipping me with the knowledge and confidence to launch my own business. Their support, combined with my passion for creating seamless and memorable wedding days, has made this journey more fulfilling than I ever imagined!
