We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cassidy a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Cassidy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Small business ownership runs in my family and have always envisioned myself pursuing the entrepreneurial path at some point in my life; I just wasn’t sure when that would happen. In 2020, I felt a strong urge to bring life to a new business idea that had been on my mind. I noticed a real need for event mobile bartending services in my hometown of Cheyenne, Wyoming and the surrounding areas. Drawing inspiration from my western background and lifestyle, I decided to create something unique that had not been seen before in this area, adding a western twist and distinct aesthetic to the mobile bartending scene.
Thus began my search for the perfect two-horse trailer to convert into a mobile bar unit. I purchased a charming 1974 horse trailer in late 2020, which marked the beginning of a new adventure. With the support of my husband, Robert, we deconstructed, designed, engineered, and handcrafted the trailer into the beautiful mobile bar it is today. After a few years of construction and overcoming many setbacks, we successfully completed the transformation and debuted the Blue Beauty at our wedding in 2022. I established Sippin’ Sassy LLC in 2022 and opened for business to the public.
My mission is to provide my clients and their guests with a unique and fun experience—one that will be talked about for years to come.

Cassidy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Sippin’ Sassy LLC offers a fun and unique mobile bartending service for all of life’s special events. We operate as a dry bar hire concept, allowing our clients to provide an open bar experience without breaking the bank!
How does it work? Our clients rent the mobile bar units and professional TIPS-certified bartending services from us, and then supply the drinks they want served from the bar unit. You buy it, and we pour it!
We collaborate closely with our clients to establish a drink menu and supply list that meets their event needs. Plus, there’s no need to worry about those essential non-consumable items like cups, garnishes, napkins, straws, and bartending equipment—we’ve got that covered!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The first year was obviously slow since the dry bar concept was very new in my town, and many people didn’t recognize the benefits of using a dry bar for events. To promote my business, I decided to participate in my first local wedding expo, where I displayed our beautifully converted trailer outside for visitors to see. I pitched the dry bar hire concept and highlighted its advantages to every bride who walked through the door that day. As a result, I secured my first two events through the expo and also made new friends within the industry. I continue to participate in the local expo and several others throughout the state every year!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Cutting people off is never easy, but sometimes it is necessary for the safety of our clients, their guests, and our employees. People can become confrontational when they don’t want to admit that they may be too intoxicated. In stressful situations like this, it’s important for us to adapt and apply our TIPS training effectively. We hold our company to a high standard of safety, which is a crucial part of our business strategy. Although it can be challenging, these measures are essential.
