We recently connected with Cassandra Weber and have shared our conversation below.
Cassandra , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
It definitely took time. Before I was ever full-time, I was working a regular job while pouring everything I could into learning this craft. I invested in education, traveled for workshops, and built my portfolio through styled shoots and creative collaborations—often unpaid—just to learn and grow. Connecting with other photographers, saying yes to opportunities that helped me evolve, and just showing up even when I didn’t fully know what I was doing, that’s what pushed me forward. There was so much I had to learn from scratch, but each step—no matter how small—helped me eventually build something real. Now I get to do both wedding and fashion photography full time, and it’s only because of that foundation I built when no one really knew my name yet.

Cassandra , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Cassandra Weber, a destination wedding photographer based out of Dallas, Pennsylvania. My journey with photography started when I was young—just me and a camera, taking pictures of landscapes and little moments that caught my eye. I didn’t know much about photography back then, I just knew I loved freezing time.
About six years ago, I stepped into wedding photography, and that’s when everything clicked. I dove in fully—learning, investing, growing—because I knew this was something I was meant to do. Over time, I found that I’m deeply drawn to both human connection and fashion. There’s something powerful in capturing emotion with style, and it’s where I feel most creatively fulfilled.
What sets my brand apart is a focus on honesty. I don’t just want to create beautiful images—I want to create meaningful ones. Photos that feel like something. Intimacy, thoughtfulness, and honesty are the core of everything I do. When I show up for a wedding, I’m not just there to document it—I’m there to feel it with you and translate that into imagery you’ll connect with forever.
It took me time to figure out the direction I wanted to take with photography, but I’m proud to say I’ve found my why. And when I work with clients who align with that purpose, that’s when the magic really happens. We create something timeless—something true.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding part of being in the creative field is clients coming back and telling me how much their photos have meant to them even years later. I love when someone loves and feels connected to my work in that way and it’s always been an honor seeing them share them years later.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My biggest goal is to continue aligning with clients who truly value the same things I do—intention, emotion, and meaning on their wedding day. I want to work with people who care just as much about how their day feels as how it looks. That kind of alignment allows us to create something deeper together.
I’m also really passionate about pursuing fashion more intentionally. It’s something I’ve always been drawn to, and the blend of fashion and emotion in my work is where I feel most inspired. As I’ve grown in this industry, the community and connections I’ve made have been everything. Networking and surrounding myself with other creatives has pushed me forward and opened doors I didn’t even know existed. It’s been such a beautiful part of the journey, and I’m excited to keep evolving with it.
