We recently connected with Cassandra Raine-Francis and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Cassandra , thanks for joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later
I wish I was taught it was ok to be an entrepreneur early on. It was instilled in us to go to school, get a good job, and having a business was too risky. If I had an entreprenual mindset, I would’ve started my business earlier and be farther along in my journey. I started my business during the pandemic. It was during a time we suffered great losses; jobs, freedoms, ourselves, & friends and loved ones. I wanted to provide a resource to have a safe space to talk about grief associated with things in the land of the living, not just death.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have always wanted to help people. From early as I can remember, I have been the “go-to” friend, the problem solver, the secret keeper. I started a Women’s ministry 10 years ago, and it evolved into my coaching business. My coaching is effective, my prices are fair & reasonable, and I don’t just coach the problem, I coach the person. As a personal, professional, & grief coach, I provide a safe space to help those unlock the areas that keep clients stuck as it relates to grief & loss of not just death, but those circumstances that people grieve in the land of the living as well. I provide referral services if coaching is not something that’s affordable for clients at the moment. I am married with 3 children. I bring a variety of experience personally and professionally that I am able to identify with clients. I am proud that I wrote a prayer journal and a children’s book called “Momma, What’s Wrong” that is based on my late mother’s mental health journey from a child’s perspective. That book was given to all of the children that went to Kindergarten camp this summer. One of my good friend’s secured that, and I am glad that our story can be in the homes of all of those children to hopefully promote discussion surrounding mental health.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Referrals and word of mouth. I haven’t had to do a lot of promoting, and my business has thrived. My brand speaks for itself. I don’t have a high social media presence. However, my business is thriving and growing.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think I’ve built my reputation through my own personal life experiences. You never know who’s watching. As people watched me navigate divorce, co-parenting, loss of a parent, career change, remarriage, and loss of my ex-spouse, I feel my brand and resilience built itself. They saw through my own life I embodied “Life After Love.”
