Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cassandra Moore. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Cassandra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
My passion for serving underserved communities has driven many of my business ventures. I began my first registered business, A-Z Technology Solutions LLC., while attending GA Military College. At first, I sold discounted used laptops and desktops to students and provided them with repair and upgrade services.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
After college and sometime between 2020-2022, A-Z Technology Solutions LLC. evolved into 9th Dimension Technologies LLC. Our primary goal is now focused on educating and empowering economically disadvantaged groups on a range of tech topics, including women, veterans, and disabled individuals.
We are especially proud of our intern training program, which we launched in 2021 to assist individuals without tech backgrounds in transitioning to full-time remote IT careers. We offer a training program, resume building, career placement, and more.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
I started A-Z Technology Solutions as a side hustle while earning my degree in college. After college, I collaborated with amazing women who created their own small businesses, including 105.7 The Phaze Radio and The Apassage Atlanta Foundation.
Currently, 9th Dimension Technologies has a team of five members, including myself and my business partner, Charissa Walker. Our mission is to expand affordable access to tech programs and provide communities with access to IT support & training.
Have you ever had to pivot?
When I started college, I made the decision to pursue a degree in nursing. Although I had some experience with the Information Technology industry, it wasn’t until after I graduated that I discovered my love for remote IT work. Once I got a taste of the remote life, I knew there was no going back for me. It was around this time I changed my mind about nursing, and decided to pursue IT instead.
I’m really glad I made the switch, though I would like to note this was pre-Covid 19, so telehealth wasn’t what it is today. While I would undoubtedly make the same choice if I had that decision/pivot to make again, now that telehealth is the remarkable tool it is, I can see where IT and nursing could be complementary career fields. With 9th Dimension Technologies LLC., there are no limits!
