We were lucky to catch up with Cassandra Koblitz recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Cassandra, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is deeply personal and professionally rooted in my over ten years of experience as a high-risk labor and delivery nurse. I have witnessed firsthand the challenges and heartbreak that can accompany childbirth, and I firmly believe that the day you meet your baby should be the most joyous of your life. Over the past five years, my journey across the United States has allowed me to support countless women during their births, revealing a common need for comprehensive education and effective coping mechanisms.
I am committed to empowering women by providing mindful, evidence-based support that nurtures resilience and fosters a sense of preparedness. My approach is centered around mindfulness, gratitude, and judgment-free care, ensuring that every woman—and her support persons—feel heard, respected, and confident as they navigate the transformative experience of childbirth.
This is not a time to simply let events unfold without guidance. Without a clear understanding of what is happening and what to expect, the risk of a traumatic birth experience increases significantly. That’s why I believe in establishing a solid foundation from day one, equipping you with personalized coping mechanisms and techniques for nervous system regulation. This ongoing support is designed not only to guide you through pregnancy and birth but also to help you thrive throughout your entire parenting journey.
By cultivating these tools early on, we build a resilient framework that carries you forward into motherhood with strength and clarity. My passion is to transform the birth experience into one of empowerment and healing, ensuring that both you and your partner feel truly prepared to welcome your child into the world with love, confidence, and joy.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Final Thoughts for Potential Clients and Supporters

My goal is not just to guide you through childbirth, but to empower you for a lifetime of confident and resilient motherhood. Together, we can create a birth experience that you will remember as the best day of your life!
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Home births are beautiful and can be safe, but they require careful preparation and understanding!
I began my journey as a labor and delivery nurse in a high-risk Level One trauma center, where the prevailing mindset was that home births or birth center deliveries were risky and ill-advised. This perspective shaped my initial views on childbirth, making me skeptical about the safety of birthing outside of a hospital setting.
Over time, and through witnessing the beauty and serenity of home births, I’ve come to appreciate how empowering they can be for families. There’s something profoundly personal and comforting about bringing a baby into the world in your own space, surrounded by an environment you’ve carefully chosen.
That said, I’ve also learned that education and preparation are key. Birth is a transformative experience, but it’s not without risks. I’ve seen the stark realities of childbirth, two women I cared for tragically lost their lives giving birth. These experiences have instilled in me a deep respect for the delicate balance between birth’s beauty and its potential dangers.
For those considering a home birth, it’s essential to have a well-prepared, experienced team who understands your desires and knows how to act quickly in an emergency. Letting go of the uncertainty surrounding birth is challenging for many, and everyone’s comfort level with the risks involved is deeply personal. The most important thing is making informed decisions that align with your values while keeping safety at the forefront.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Funding my business has been a journey of sacrifice and determination.
I wish I could say I started with dedicated funding, but the truth is, I’ve had to rely on my personal savings and take on extra work to make my dream a reality. I picked up contracts and shifts that I wouldn’t normally pursue to ensure I could afford the essentials for launching and running my business. This venture is truly mine, built from the ground up with love and sacrifice.
One of the hardest parts has been cutting back on the things I love, like traveling and embarking on worldwide adventures. But deep down, I know this is what I am meant to do. Helping women through the beautiful, transformational journey into motherhood is my soul’s purpose. It’s something I care about so deeply that I would do it for free if I could.
That’s why I’m passionate about making my services accessible. Many women don’t realize that they can explore having part of my services covered by their insurance, and I want them to know this is an option. This work isn’t about the money, it’s about ensuring no woman has to navigate this incredible journey alone. It truly does take a village, and I am honored to be a part of that support system.
