Cassandra, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.
I had a customer who was pregnant and during her pregnancy she experienced discoloration, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone. After giving birth to her child she started using our black soap refiner cleanser and our radiant sugar scrub. She sent in a testimonial and revealed that in 2 days of using our radiant sugar scrub her skin went back to normal! The reason behind the skin repair is the Turmeric properties within our scrub and so being consistent with the scrub paired with our face cleanser did great wonders for our new mom and I couldn’t have been more happier!

My Name is Cassandra Duvra and I am a female entrepreneur who is the owner of Essential Radiance Aesthetics (ERA), a natural skincare company. When I was a baby, I was born with eczema which is a condition that causes dry, itchy, and inflamed skin. My mother kept taking me to doctors appointments to try and find a treatment that would help and minimize the itching and patches on my skin. Most of the products that were recommended by the physician were chemical based that help for a little while but my condition kept coming back. My mother started doing natural and holistic remedies to help soothe and minimize the eczema. In doing this, my mother was able to soothe the eczema and it has not appeared back on my skin. Moving forward to when I reached Highschool, I was a student athlete with Track & Field as my sport. There were long practice days in the sun that cause me to have bad hyperpigmentation around the bottom half of my face. Putting into practice the natural approach my mother took for my eczema I started to do research and experiment natural approaches to take to help with this problem. This is when I came up with the products that I provide today within ERA. The products that I provide is our Black Soap Refiner which is a face cleanser that helps with hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and fights acne. Then our Fresh Mint Body Wash, which is a body wash that fights body acne and provides a cooling sensation when taking a shower. We just added our revamped face and body scrub that is a turmeric scrub that does not stain. This scrub helps with hyperpigmentation and even out skin tones also serves as a natural exfoliator. I take pride in the fact that I handmake these natural products to be able to help men and woman around the world come into their ERA of clear and smooth skin and also walk in the confidence of their skin. I get testimonials all the time of customers so happy about the results these products solve for their skin issues and this is my why.



We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I first started my business social media on Instagram, I stayed at 300 followers for the longest! However I must say, I had no consistency with posting content so I knew this was the reason and something had to change. I started posting content consistently and gained a few more followers but it stayed in the 300 range. I took a content creation workshop to learn more about making content and the science behind it. At first I thought to myself would this content workshop really help me because My audience and niche is skincare but the workshop was filming content for food and things of that nature. So I sat on the information that was given to me and created a 30 day content calendar of content I was going to post that were skin related. When I was done planning the content calendar I recognized the voice of the Holy Spirit telling me that I need to take the information that I learned from the content workshop and use it for fruit infused water to help with glowing skin. Without hesitation I did just that and for the first two weeks I noticed the engagement going up. Without even realizing, one of the fruit infused water videos went viral ending at 1.3 million views and grew my following significantly. I am currently at 9 thousand followers almost hitting 10 thousand. My advice for growing your social media is that whenever you see a content getting more engagement on your page I consider this the winning content. Once you see a winning content on your page, continue to be consistent with that type of content and tie it down to your niche and what your brand is all about. You will then build a community that loves your page and stand behind what you are about.
How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.
I sell my products on my website www.thebrandera.com. The base of this website is Shopify and I chose Shopify because the best pro is that it works great wonders for ecommerce businesses. It is very easy to sell on Shopify and they make the admin page very easy to manage and very easy to keep tabs on your every single insights from sales and conversations down to live traffic on your store. Shopify also have free themes that you can choose from when creating your website so if you are not so tech savvy creating your own website from Shopify will be a breeze! Shopify does not have a lot of cons in my opinion the only con I would say is that the basic Shopify membership plan has limitations so it doesn’t allow you to get every feature however, as your store grow you are able to upgrade.
