We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cassandra Brasher. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cassandra below.
Cassandra, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My most meaningful project is actually my ongoing free one! I provide monthly guides (printed in person & online) for spirtual practitioners of all walks! I try to make this free & inclusive as possible with still providing important events & information for people who may be interested
This is really meaningful because without me asking to give these printed guides, I wouldn’t have been able to help create wonderful community events with my local metaphysical shop Next Millennium.
I had went by with these guides asking if I could leave them for people who might be interested & the owner asked me if I was interested about helping him create community events around the sabbats for people to come feast all for free, craft & have community with magic.
I had never done anything like this before & with severe social anxiety, I genuinely was so scared to say yes but we ended up with a successful first go & then continued on for a little over a year now. I had previously come to Omaha from San Diego to be with my partner 13 years ago, but it’s taken a lot of time to work on myself & my anxiety enough to get out there, get my art out there & to make any friends at all. These celebrations have really helped me overcome my social anxiety fears & make people happy by showing them how they too can make something cool.
For these celebrations I cook homemade foods, provide crafts & spells for both adults & children while Next Millennium provides all the circle activities & very generously pay for it all. I’m so thankful for this opportunity to be able to serve my community, teach & meet some amazing people that have changed my life for the better.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
People probably have not heard of me unfortunately. I’m horrible about constantly social media postings, however where I shine is the amount of love & care I put into everything I make.
I craft a little of everything from regular art such as:
Wooden wall art
Astrology star-sign constellations with handmade paper flowers & crystals
Papercraft boxes, cards, flowers & shadowboxes
Digital art services
Handpainted trinket book boxes
And witchy things like:
Custom spells (I have one for everything & often use things grown from my own garden)
Spell candles
Protective& decorative wreaths
Milk spell baths (makes your skin SO soft)
Sewing items made with knot magic/prayed over like: dream pillows, tarot bags & altar cloths
I make a lot more, but I feel like if I listed it all you would be tired of me. I craft a lot of things, but out of passion & it shows through my work. The little details matter to me & I will work on things until they look exactly right. I would never offer anything I’ve done that I personally don’t feel I’ve given 100% to.
I post free guides & information because I genuinely love my community & everyone deserves to learn. Not everyone has the money to buy good book resources & free ones for spirtual people are few & far between. If I can help just a few people access information easier, I’m a happy person.
I also LOVE to get a good barter going. I often will trade things with other artists instead of focusing solely on money.
I guess what really sets me apart is I care. I care about my community, I take great care in everything I make & Im really proud to say that I do that. I really hope to keep on making more useful guides along with cool art for as long as I’m able

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
The best thing I’ve done is show up. Throw yourself out there because you may not get everything you are applying for, but you will get something.
Be consistent, keep showing up to things, introduce yourself, let people know what you can do & make friends. You never know where those connections can take you.
But seriously, be consistent & be present.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I’d really like to get rid of the stigma of witches/witchcraft being some kind of big evil/scary thing.
I’d like to put more positive art of witches out there instead of the incredibly problematic ones we see often depicted on Halloween art when we celebrate & are around year round!
We often work with the community, are good neighbors, family members, ect who are afraid to share their religious practices because it’s deemed as socially unacceptable compared to Christianity. People can have Jesus paraphernalia everywhere without batting an eye but the moment someone breaks out a pentagram, it’s not okay.
Our religious beliefs are just as valid as everyone elses & shouldn’t have a negative stereotype
