Cassandra , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
All my life I have loved the Entertainment Industry! From acting to music! I have been interested in the lime like! I love performing and interacting with others! I noticed as a young kid that I stood out and was not the same as others! I have always had a creative and vivid imagination! As well as my personality is so unique and questionable! 😂 I say questionable because you never know with my mind, what I will say or do! I’m very spontaneous and I love it! That’s what makes me who I am as an Hip Hop Artist 💋
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
What others don’t know is that I started out as an actress in the Entertainment world! Then as I grew more and more in the industry, I started loving the excitement of performing and presenting my craft to others! Then I got introduced into the music part of the industry and fail more inlove with the music and decided to pursue my career in music! I love the style, beat, flow of 🎶 music! I learned that I have family members that was signed with a label in the 1970’s as well as my Aunt is a known Jazz singer in NY! So, it’s always been in me, I just had to find my sound! That I did and that is when “PinkLash” was created and won a nice amount of awards due to my accomplishments! I am proud of what I am doing and how I am staying motivated and determined! There are so many people who say they support me but they really don’t! There are some that think I’m not good enough, but that’s even more motivation to keep pushing! I am good enough and will not stop! I am worth it all and more! My kids and supporters keeps me head strong and feel appreciated! I will never give up on ME 🩷
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
To me personally, the most rewarding is being recognized as ORIGINAL and the only one that has my sound and look! Secondly, my children supporting me and telling me I got what it takes! That means everything to me! We all know our kids are our biggest Critics! 😂😊
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
In today’s society support is a huge deal! Nonetheless, sometimes it may be hard to come by! Support is merely free and people know this but don’t care! That’s why standing out and being original plays a big part in support! I have learned that once I started getting support from others! Although it’s an amazing feeling, you must be careful of certain “supporters” there are supporters who believe in you and supporters who just want to ride your “coat tail”! However, you must be able to tell the difference, most people call it having “discernment” Needless, to say, DON’T ever give up because of it! This Society is a bit crucial, but, when you find the right supporters (REAL SUPPORTERS) many doors will open and when they do, Babbbby walk, no RUN in there and get your opportunity, because sometimes it doesn’t come back around! Don’t let nobody dem your shine because they don’t support you! Be your number 1 fan! Remember that 😎
