Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cashmere Carter. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Cashmere thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
People fear what they do not understand, project their insecurities from their own experiences, so many more things that are human nature. It is human nature to judge, it is how we survive, but judgement is frustrating to navigate. I am a person who does not care about what strangers think of me, but I do care about how I am perceived in spaces that I desire to exist in. I have been misunderstood amongst family, with friends & lovers, in work places, and even online. I have learned to focus on only what I can control which is myself because people are going to people, people are going to talk and it does not matter whether you are doing bad or good. It is important to tell your own story in the ways that you can, by being intentional with what you are putting out for people to see and hear. I know a lot of things that I say and do offend people, disturb people, challenge people, and motivate people.

Cashmere , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am constantly evolving which means my focus is constantly changing, and I am okay with that. There is not one thing that I would like to be recognized for, but what I what I want to be known about me is I am love. Hygh Vybratyonz is a lifestyle, a brand, that is about living consciously & authentically. There is no one or right way to live, as long as you are leading with love. Whatever your dream is you can make reality. I believe you should explore every part of yourself, I am proud of my courage to be. I have accomplished many things and I am a pillar in many communities, but I know God is not done with me yet, so I am excited for what all is coming.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
There is room for everybody, we should be supporting one another and learning from each other instead of competing and demanding there be a best. I believe it takes a village. Everybody needs somebody — we should be pouring into each other however we can instead of thinking of only ourselves because teamwork makes the dreams work. Support can be recommending a person for an opportunity, sharing a person’s work online, showing up to a person’s event, words of encouragement, or even providing resources and direction to another if you’re in a position to do so.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative is seeing the tangible results of your efforts, especially when your work has the power to bring people together from opposing or different perspectives. Witnessing the unifying impact of your creativity, and knowing that your art has fostered connection and understanding, is a deeply fulfilling experience that underscores the transformative power of artistic expression. Art or creation is the literal process of making a dream your reality.
