We were lucky to catch up with Cashaey Serenity recently and have shared our conversation below.

Cashaey , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?

I hope that my legacy would be one of positive impact and meaningful contributions. I want to inspire others to follow their dreams no matter the obstacles big or small that may come their way.

Cashaey , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I was introduced to modeling sophomore year of high school. I was apart of the modeling team, producing and performing in runway shows. In 2011, I was featured in my first publication entitled Razor Edge, a magazine based out of Baltimore,MD.

Since then, I have been featured in numerous Sophisticated Black Hair Magazine (2013-2016 editions). In 2014, I was selected as one of the models for America’s #1 leading manufacturers in the hair industry, MODEL MODEL. I later advanced in my career and became a model for other hair companies such as Harlem 125, Janet Collection and Mowntress. My model images are currently being displayed in beauty supply stores nationwide, and online hair manufacturing websites such as Hairsisters.com and wigtypes.com. I recently moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue my acting career the Summer of 2020 where I currently reside, training aspiring models and actors to develop their careers as professionals in the industry.
My overall goal is to provide a community for aspiring models and actors to build connections within the community. It is very important to build a team and surround yourself around like minded individuals for a prosperous career.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

I think the most effective strategy that has helped to grow my clientele for me is leveraging my modeling and acting background. I’ve found that many people are interested in working with someone who has experience in the industry. Another great way to attract new clients is through word of mouth referrals from previous satisfied clients.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

There are many rewarding aspects to being a model or actor, but one of the most rewarding is having the opportunity to inspire others. Whether it’s through fashion, acting, or modeling, having the ability to touch people’s lives in a positive way and inspire them to believe in their dreams is the BEST feeling!
