Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Casey Willax. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Casey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your career and how did you resolve those issues?
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I dove in full time when I realized that I didn’t wanna work a regular job, and that that life wasn’t for me. I have had all types of problems and setbacks but because I love what I do, I am willing to work harder than anybody for as long as I need to, because I actually love my job. Focusing on becoming a professional snowboarder, and running a brand/business all around health and fitness and positivity is a dream come, true!
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
Most people just see the final product and they don’t realize that not only are creators like myself barely making it by financially but we’re doing four jobs at the same time and working 16 to 18 hour days, but like I said, I love what I do so that’s how it’s possible… If you don’t love it, you’ll never be able to work hard enough to accomplish life as a creator.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
The slight edge, by paul choello. and The biology of belief by bruce lipton
