We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Casey Roberson Trawick a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Casey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Imagine using a beauty product that you love because its convenient for your lifestyle,
beautiful results and durable.
Then you began to realize this product is impacting you negatively such as irritating the
area of use, develop allergies, or causing pain and damage due to removal process.
What do you do?
Well, this was my story, I was a faithful no chip user. I loved the convenience of the product,
the beautiful results and of course the longevity of the product.
Then I began to notice a change in my nail health and the soak off removal process was
excruciating to me. I knew that I could not continue on this destructive path.
So, I began researching for alternative products that were better for me.
I found a product I loved and knew that there were other women out there like me and
wanted to offer it to them so I launched Liquid Dyet in Sept 2021.

living!
Our mission is to provide high-quality products that are eco friendly
and offer both preventative and restorative qualities to support the
unique needs of our customers. We are committed to helping them feel
confident and beautiful through healthy and vibrant nails
Our products are vegan, nontoxic, and cruelty free

We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
My site is on the Shopify platform. Once you learn the basics of the back end of your website on Shopify, it is very user friendly. Shopify is one of the biggest ecommerce platforms and integrates easily to different social media platforms and apps that can be used to elevate your store. Also it houses all the valuable analytics on your customers and your store performance. You able to generate and export reports. It supports various payment options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Affirm.
Cons: Some customization to the themes can be challenging, however Shopify have Shopify experts you can hire to help or you can go to Youtube to find videos that can help you learn how to customize your theme.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I have built my following by community building. Treat social media as community building platforms. People want to feel seen and understood. They want to be able to relate to the content that they are consuming. Treat your audience as your village, your tribe, your people.
