We were lucky to catch up with Casey Olson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Casey, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission the drives your brand?

I went most of my life not fully appreciating the beauty of the world around me or myself. I didn’t know my worth or love myself and was unhappy overall. In 2018, after a major trauma, I began spending time with myself in nature for sunset and did a lot of inner healing and work. I found self love for the first time in my life and began both living for myself and working for myself through my company Casey Olson Designs. Since then, it has been my mission to help others do the same. Through my company, I not only share how gorgeous this world is through my landscape photo art, but I also help others believe in themselves and chase their dreams. I take amazing portraits that help people see how beautiful they are and I also take marketing photos and do branding design for small businesses so that they can do what they love for a living. I also have become a life coach so I can do even more work helping others heal from trauma, find self love, and live a life they are proud of.

For folks who may not have read about you before, can you please tell our readers about yourself, how you got into your industry / business / discipline / craft etc, what type of products/services/creative works you provide, what problems you solve for your clients and/or what you think sets you apart from others. What are you most proud of and what are the main things you want potential clients/followers/fans to know about you/your brand/your work/ etc. Please provide as much detail as you feel relevant as this is one of the core questions where the reader will get to know about you and your brand/organization/etc.

I first got into promoting others when I started a blog design business (Hot Bliggity Blog) in 2009. That made me really passionate about helping people/businesses share what they were passionate about online in a way they were excited about. From there I started designing logos and websites for businesses and I got my Web Design degree. After I graduated, in December of 2017, I launched my current company (Casey Olson Designs) that offers not only company branding and Web Design, but all types of photography to help individuals and companies promote themselves. Through my current company I also sell my landscape photography art as prints and teach others photography and editing. Landscape photography has been a huge part of my healing so that is why I want to teach others how to do it so they can also use it to heal trauma and focus on the beauty around them.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Yes, there is. The goal is to help people focus on beauty and positivity and use that to heal trauma, find self love, and believe in themselves.

How did you build your audience on social media?

When I first started sharing my photography on social media, I didn’t know anyone would follow or care about it. Suddenly people were inspired by my work and began to share it. It was then that I realized the way to grow on social media is from other accounts sharing my work and I have grown from there and appreciate every single share I get.
