We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Casey Langley. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Casey below.
Casey, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
I can say the biggest risk I ever took was investing into digital marketing training and courses . Since investing into digital marketing courses all the knowledge I’ve learned inside helped me to start my Ahmad’s Mission Merch clothing brand and my Trace and Cherish your memories Custom coloring pages. I have always wanted to start my own business and digital marketing taught me how to do so . From the business foundation , setting up the business properly and marketing and branding . I learned so much inside digital marketing trainings to be able to do things on my own , set my family up for the future and grow while doing so . I learned how to be a creator and not a consumer . And I’m able to keep my son name and memory alive in the process of all my learning. Now Im addicted to learning , I learn something new every single day that will continue to help my family and I in the future .

Casey, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is C Marie Langley Ahmad Cobb’s mother, and I’m a published author, CEO, and advocate who has transformed the most devastating chapter of my life into a mission that honors my son’s memory while bringing hope and awareness to families facing childhood cancer.
My journey into this work wasn’t one I chose—it chose me. When my son Ahmad was diagnosed with childhood cancer, our world changed forever. I documented his incredible fight, his courage, and his beautiful spirit in my published book, Heaven Needed a Hero: My Son Ahmad Cobb Real Life Story. It talks about Ahmad’s life and his brave battle with childhood cancer—a story that needed to be told, not just for our family, but for every family walking this impossible road.
Ahmad was a fighter, a hero, and a light in this world. When we lost him, I made a promise: his name, his legacy, and his fight would never be forgotten. That promise became my purpose. I’m the CEO and founder of Ahmad’s Mission Merch, a clothing brand I launched this year to keep my son’s name and legacy alive. Every piece in our collection carries meaning—it’s not just apparel, it’s a statement of strength ,remembrance, and hope. When someone wears Ahmad’s Mission Merch, they’re honoring all the little warriors fighting childhood cancer and those we’ve tragically lost. The brand represents resilience, love, and the belief that these children—our heroes—deserve to be remembered and celebrated.
Beyond the clothing line, I also created Trace and Cherish, offering custom ornaments and coloring page wall art for families all over. These aren’t just decorative pieces; they’re treasured keepsakes that help families preserve precious memories and create meaningful moments together. Whether it’s a custom ornament commemorating a loved one or a personalized coloring page that brings families together, Trace and Cherish is about celebrating life, love, and legacy.
The problems I solve : Childhood cancer is often called an “invisible epidemic.” Despite being the leading cause of death by disease in children, it receives 4% of the research funding and public awareness compared to adult cancers. Families facing this diagnosis often feel isolated, forgotten, and overwhelmed.
Through my work, I’m solving several critical problems,
Raising Awareness, I’m shining a spotlight on pediatric cancer—bringing it out of the shadows and into the public consciousness where it belongs. My Golden Miles Around the World Walk Challenge is a testament to this commitment.
Honoring Memories, For families who have lost children to cancer, I provide meaningful ways to keep their child’s memory alive through my golden miles around the world walk ,Ahmad’s Mission Merch and Trace and Cherish products. Grief doesn’t have a timeline, and legacy matters. See When you’ve walked through childhood cancer, you need to know you’re not alone. My work creates connection points for families, supporters, and advocates to come together. Through Ahmad’s story and my ongoing mission, I show families in the fight that their child’s life has true meaning and that their battle matters to the world.
What sets me apart is authenticity I’m real with mine this is born from a lived experience. I’m not an outsider looking in—I’m a mother who held her son through treatments, celebrated his victories, and said goodbye way too soon. Every idea I launch, every product I create, every mile I walk is deeply personal. This isn’t a business venture or a trendy cause for me. This is my son’s legacy. This is my life’s work. I also bring unwavering commitment. As of today, I’ve walked 62 consecutive days in my Golden Miles Around the World Walk Challenge—62 days straight without missing a single day. Rain or shine, exhausted or energized, I show up. Because the children fighting cancer don’t get days off. The families sitting in hospital rooms don’t get to pause their journey. So neither do I. Additionally, I offer multiple avenues for people to engage with this mission—whether through purchasing meaningful merch supporting custom keepsakes, reading Ahmad’s story, or following the walk challenge. There’s a place for everyone in this movement.
I’m most proud of turning the worst pain imaginable into something meaningful. Losing Ahmad broke me in ways I didn’t know a person could break. But I made a choice: I could let that pain consume me, or I could let it fuel me. I chose to let it fuel a mission bigger than my grief. I’m proud that Ahmad’s name is being spoken across the world. I’m proud that families are finding comfort in his story. I’m proud of every single day of my Golden Miles Challenge—each step is a prayer, a memorial, and a declaration that these children matter. I’m proud of Heaven Needed a Hero and the families who’ve reached out to say Ahmad’s story gave them strength. I’m proud of building Ahmad’s Mission Merch from the ground up and seeing people wear his legacy with pride. I’m proud of Trace and Cherish and the beautiful moments we’re helping families create and cherish . But Most of all, I’m proud to be Ahmad’s mother. He made me who I am today.
I want potential supporters to know that This is about love, not loss. While my work was born from tragedy, it’s sustained by love—love for my son, love for all the children fighting, and love for the families who understand this journey. Your support matters. When you purchase from Ahmad’s Mission Merch, get a custom piece from Trace and Cherish, read Heaven Needed a Hero, or follow along with the Golden Miles Challenge, you’re not just supporting a business or a person—you’re joining a movement. You’re saying that childhood cancer matters. You’re saying that Ahmad Cobb mattered. You’re saying that every child fighting deserves a world that sees them, fights for them, and remembers them. Childhood cancer needs all of us. We need awareness. We need research funding. We need community. We need people who will walk (literally) alongside these families. Legacy is everything. Ahmad’s life wasn’t defined by his illness—it was defined by his spirit, his courage, and his impact. That’s what I’m keeping alive and sharing with the world. Every child facing cancer has a story worth telling, a life worth celebrating, and a legacy worth protecting. And If you take away one thing from learning about my work, let it be this: Ahmad’s mission is always and forever and you can be part of it. Whether you’re a parent facing a childhood cancer diagnosis and need to know you’re not alone, someone who wants to honor a child in your life, or simply a person with a heart for this cause—there’s a place for you here.
Join me. Walk with me. Remember with me. Together, we’re making sure heaven’s heroes are never forgotten.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I would say the key to building your social media presence is to continue to show up for yourself . Even when you don’t see the support , when you don’t see the likes, and not really getting the recognition. Don’t let that discourage you keep going no matter what , people are always watching even if they don’t engage and you never know who is really watching you . Just stay consistent in marketing yourself daily , you honestly have to get on people nerves with posting and showing up for yourself. And plenty people give up when they don’t see the results fast . It’s not about that if you don’t believe in yourself you can’t get anyone else to believe in what you’re doing . And a huge part of that is determination and consistency is key . I don’t care how many likes I get , who don’t cheer for me because I’m my biggest cheerleader and that’s how it have to be . So even when it’s hard keep going . Remember strangers will support you before a person you knew your whole life so don’t look for certain people to support because 9 times out of 10 they’re not . And if that is something that discourages you , you already lost with the social media game . So show up for yourself and stay consistent with posting and growing your brand voice and page daily 💛
