Cartier, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

When my business partner jaydyn Franklin and I took our first approach, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into, but that all quickly changed.

Ragenest, a name that holds more than I could even comprehend at this point, was once an idea created by my good friend jaydyn Franklin. Back in late 2022 the options seemed very limited and it felt like such a journey to get booked for events or shows as an independent artist, but that all suddenly changed once Jaydyn proposed the idea of us doing our own show, something we could do for local underground artists in the community, where we could be us genuinely. It was more so a night where we could show this once small scene what we could do collectively, it also was our first ever performance and a sold out show. If that doesn’t spark a drive in anyone, I don’t know what will, we had no choice but to continue hosting events for the community, as we grew our company grew, in size & financially. From doing it out of pocket collecting change to owning a business. I guess In a short summary, our mission is to show that you never know where the simplest idea can take you.

Acceptance, welcoming & prosperity. Working together while loving and growing together.

A night where you can really let loose and express yourself, from the music to the clothes you wear.

How’d you meet your business partner?

We’ve grown up around each other our whole lives, a lot of people don’t actually know this, but we are both from the same city. Tacoma, wa and grew up 5 minutes away from eachother. I even went to middle school with his sisters without even knowing, it’s funny How life works. God waited for the perfect time for us to meet, we even have the same childhood friends but never known eachother. Well, until we turned about 18, he had heard my beats from a mutual friend ‘Hunnidkbaby’ and they had been planning to meet up and make some music, so a few weeks later I had took hunnidk over to jaydyns house and the rest is history.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
