We were lucky to catch up with Caroline Nadeau recently and have shared our conversation below.
Caroline, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I feel that in order to be successful, you need to have the following:
1. You need to believe it can happen
2. Mindset
3. Discipline and consistency
4. Fail forward as Gary Keller says. And learn from it and grow

Caroline, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a Realtor with Keller Williams Gateway/Salem. Licensed in both NH and MA.
In my prior world I was a top Regional Sales Manager in the Hospitality Industry. It was a fantastic career and really provided me with the skillset for Real Estate with working with different clientele, negotiating contracts and truly taking the time to understand my client’s needs and wants.
I was inspired to get into Real Estate as my passion for it began as a young girl. What I love most about being a REALTOR®, is helping people get to their next chapter, whatever that may be. This is one of their biggest investments of their life.
It is so much more than a transaction. It is such a gratifying job and one that I truly feel passionate about. My goal is to be your REALTOR® for life.
I think what sets me apart is my desire to provide the best client experience by being their Trusted Advisor throughout the whole process and my relentless pursuit to get them to the next chapter and reach their goals whether they are buying, selling or investing. And, I treat each client like they are family and truly care. And, I am so incredibly thankful that my clients continue to trust in me and refer me to their friends and family. This is the biggest compliment I can get.
When I’m not doing Real Estate, I love to stay active whether that be hiking, going to the gym, biking and most importantly attending my daughter’s sports games.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
For years, I was in Corporate America and then decided to go after my dream/passion of Real Estate. However, starting a new job in general is hard but I had to build my own business. And, with the added pressure of being a single mother. Many people thought I was crazy to do it and/or didn’t believe that I could.
However, I truly believed that I could do it, but it definitely has taken resilience because nothing happens over night. It takes patience, focus and consistency.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think what helped to build my reputation in the market is simply treating each client like were family and the most important because THEY ARE. They are trusting you with in most cases the biggest investment in their life. They deserve the very best from me. And often times, it is not an easy change they are making. Sometimes life events have caused them to need to buy or sell. I am more than just a REALTOR®, I am also their friend, Trusted Advisor and person to confide in.
