We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Caroline Hull. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Caroline below.
Hi Caroline , thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for my business didn’t arrive in one big lightning bolt moment—it unfolded like a whisper that grew louder over time. Back when I first entered the world of podcasting, I was doing what so many of my clients do at the beginning: figuring it out on my own, piecing together scraps of advice from YouTube videos, Facebook groups, and free downloads. It was exciting… but also completely overwhelming.
And then I started supporting clients. At first, it was with editing and production. But pretty quickly, I realized the real magic happened when we stopped talking about microphones and software—and started talking about their voice. Their message. Their goals. That’s when their podcasts started working for them.
The shift really clicked when I had client after client come to me saying, “I’m doing everything they say to do… but it’s not working.” And I’d dig in and find that the problem wasn’t their consistency or their gear—it was that they were following someone else’s version of strategy. They weren’t being led by their own voice or creating with intention.
That’s when the idea for my approach was born: podcast strategy that centers your voice, your energy, and your business.
I saw a gap in the industry—so much content about how to grow a podcast, but almost none that asked, Why are you doing this? What do you want this to lead to? And how can we make it feel like you again? I knew I could create something different. Not louder or flashier—but more aligned.
That’s what got me the most excited: the chance to help women step out of the noise, stop performing, and instead create podcasts that genuinely support their businesses and amplify their message—without burning out or losing their way.
Now, I get to walk alongside podcasters as they reconnect with their purpose, their power, and their people. And that’s what makes this work feel so worthwhile. Every. Single. Time.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Caroline Hull, and I help women entrepreneurs turn their podcasts into powerful tools for connection, clarity, and client growth—without burning out or feeling like they’re shouting into the void.
I call myself a podcast strategist, mentor, and Voicekeeper—because at the heart of everything I do is a belief that your voice is sacred. It’s not just about putting content out into the world—it’s about creating something aligned with who you are, what you believe in, and where your business is going.
My path into this work started in the messy middle—producing podcasts for clients who had big visions but weren’t seeing the traction they expected. I quickly realized that the traditional podcast advice out there didn’t work for everyone—especially not heart-led entrepreneurs who crave ease, depth, and results.
So I began developing my own approach—one that blends intentional content planning with soulful strategy. I now support podcasters in multiple ways:
The Podcast Strategy Shop: A curated collection of templates, tools, and digital resources that make podcasting simpler, more strategic, and more aligned with your business goals. It’s the place I wish I had when I started.
Strategize & Shine Academy: A membership space for podcasters who want support beyond the launch. Inside, I offer step-by-step trainings, coaching, and a supportive community to help you grow with clarity and confidence.
Amplify & Profit: A high-touch mentoring program for women ready to deeply align their podcast with their offers, voice, and vision.
The problem I solve? Helping podcasters stop spinning their wheels and start seeing real results—more leads, more aligned clients, and more ease in their process. I help them make the shift from “just putting content out there” to creating a podcast that actually supports their business.
What sets me apart is that I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all strategy. My work is rooted in alignment. We throw out the “shoulds,” the pressure to go viral, and the performative content, and instead build a rhythm that honors both your goals and your capacity. I don’t just help you grow—I help you grow in a way that feels good.
What I’m most proud of? The moments my clients tell me, “This finally feels like me again.” That’s the magic. When your content clicks into place, when your voice is clear and confident, when your podcast becomes a place of power instead of pressure—that’s what I live for.
If there’s one thing I want people to know, it’s this: Your voice is a catalyst. You don’t have to get louder—you just have to get clearer. And I’m here to help you do that.
Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my business came when AI tools began to flood the content space—and suddenly, everything changed.
For years, I ran a podcast production agency. We handled editing, show notes, scheduling, the whole workflow. And while we served amazing clients, I started to notice something: the industry was shifting fast. Tools that once required a team were becoming more accessible. AI could write a rough draft of show notes in seconds. Editing was being automated. And I found myself asking, what’s the value here now?
But the real pivot wasn’t just about technology—it was about alignment. I realized I no longer wanted to run a large team managing dozens of pieces of content. What lit me up wasn’t production—it was the strategy, the mentorship, the deep conversations about voice, clarity, and growth.
So I listened to that quiet nudge and chose to restructure everything.
I transitioned out of the traditional agency model and into something more aligned with who I am now: a mentor, a strategist, a guide. I built The Podcast Strategy Shop to offer accessible, DIY tools for the podcaster who wants clarity and support without a full team. I restructured my membership and coaching programs to give podcasters what they truly need—not just more content, but better direction.
The pivot felt scary, honestly. But it also felt right. Because here’s the thing: AI can do a lot—but it can’t replace your voice. It can’t tap into your lived experience, your energy, your vision. And that’s where I come in.
This pivot allowed me to do the work that feels the most honest and powerful—helping women create from a place of alignment, not just automation. That’s the future I believe in.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Hands down, the most effective strategy has been building genuine relationships—especially through podcasting. Whether it’s being a guest on someone else’s show, hosting my own podcast, or showing up consistently on platforms like Instagram, my business has grown through connection, not just content.
There’s something powerful about borrowing someone else’s audience—but only when it’s done with intention. When I’m a guest on a podcast, I’m not there to perform or pitch—I’m there to serve. I show up to share value, to offer clarity, and to speak directly to the kinds of business owners I know I can help. And because podcasting is such an intimate medium, the people who resonate tend to feel deeply connected from the start.
I think that’s the secret: leading with service, not sales. I don’t believe in cold DMs or manipulative funnels. I believe in being the kind of person people trust—because I’m clear in my message, generous with my expertise, and aligned in how I show up.
My other core strategy? Creating aligned, evergreen content—especially episodes, guides, and resources that meet people exactly where they are. I’ve built my shop, membership, and offers around the real questions and roadblocks I see come up again and again. That way, when someone finds me—whether through a podcast interview, a Reel, or a blog—they can immediately step into something that supports them.
At the end of the day, I’m not trying to build an empire—I’m building a community of women who are ready to reclaim their voices and podcast with purpose. And that kind of growth takes clarity, consistency, and connection.
