We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Carolina Paredes a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Carolina, thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

Being myself and to follow the beat to the sound of my own drum has never been easy. Specially at the beginning or when my life doesn’t look like what society tells you it should look like. It is now just funny because at the end of the day it is me the one that I should strive to make happy. And that is exactly what I am doing. Living my dreams.

Carolina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I own Graphikos Marketing and Multimedia, were we create brand awareness through social media and SEO, and also build motorcycles at my shoop: The TankFull Shop.

Last year, I created a non profit “The Full Throttle” and we are in the process of creating programs to help Domestic violence survivors. I love to ride motorcycles and wrench on them, with the nonprofit I am to give back tools -literally- to those who need them the most.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Having my first build at the Mama Tried show in Milwaukee. What a treat! The project started many many years ago and to be able to finish is the best feeling.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

OMG all the time! I had many lives hahaha from production at Sony Pictures, The Jim Henson co., and National Lampoon, to working Accounting to having my own marketing company., I have had to evolve as time passed but mostly as I found my own voice and the truth of who I am. Working with my hands is the most fun and the one that brings me the most joy.
