We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Carolina Hannes a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

One of our differential is all our coaches truly loves coaching the sport of Beach Tennis. We do not only love to play and the sport itself but we love to teach and help our players to reach the next level. We do not do it for the money! We put all our energy into our players and our services. We are focused on the quality of all our services over quantity.
Carolina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I found the sport of beach tennis in 2015 while I still lived in Iowa. Since then, I knew this is what I wanted to do. I wanted to be one of the people who help beach tennis grow in the USA. In 2019, my family and I were able to move to California where I was able to make that dream come true. Fast forward to 2024, we have several beach tennis groups around the USA. I. have reached the number 1 american beach tennis player in the world and now run an academy with over 100 players. I would love for everyone to know our main goal is to bring the happiness, joy and positive vibes of beach tennis to your life. Beach tennis is more than just a sport, it is a lifestyle. We welcome you with open arms to our community whether you are a pro player or first time player.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
For us, the most effective has been word of mouth. The clients that we get from word of mouth are usually the ones who stay loyal and stay with us for the long run.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I first moved to California, no one believed I could live from coaching Beach Tennis. Simply, they thought this was an impossible task as no one had done before in California. But slowly, working hard, many days at the beach with 1 or 2 lessons only, I never gave up. I knew I could make it grow and I could get other to fall in love with Beach Tennis as much as I had. Happy to say, I was able to prove all the doubters wrong.
