Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Carolina. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Carolina, thanks for joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
Reinventing Myself: Building My Kingdom from the Ground Up
I started Kingdom Investment Services after leaving my previous career, knowing I needed to reinvent myself. Real estate investment had always been a dream of mine, but I used to think it was impossible — you needed money, contacts, and experience I didn’t have.
Flipping homes was especially intimidating. I was stepping into a male-dominated world where I worried no one would take me seriously — especially since I didn’t even know how to use a single construction tool! But I decided to bet on myself anyway. I studied, asked questions, made mistakes, and learned everything from the ground up.
What began as a risk turned into my greatest reward. Each property became a reflection of growth, faith, and resilience. Today, Kingdom Investment Services isn’t just a business — it’s proof that reinvention is possible at any stage of life when you dare to take the leap.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Building Dreams, One Property at a Time
I’m Carolina Henao, founder of Kingdom Investment Services, a real estate investment company focused on flipping houses and creating beautiful, functional spaces that families can truly call home.
My journey into real estate began as a personal reinvention. After leaving my previous career, I wanted to build something new — something meaningful. Real estate had always fascinated me, even as a child, but I used to believe it was a world reserved for people with deep pockets, endless connections, and decades of experience. I had none of those — but I did have passion, determination, and a willingness to learn.
When I started Kingdom Investment Services, my goal wasn’t just to renovate houses — it was to transform lives and communities. Every property we touch tells a story of vision, hard work, and transformation. What sets us apart is the heart behind what we do: we don’t just flip homes for profit; we create spaces that uplift neighborhoods and inspire new beginnings.
As a woman in a traditionally male-dominated industry, I’m proud to have built a business grounded in integrity, excellence, and faith. I want my journey to show others — especially women — that it’s never too late to start over, chase a dream, or enter an industry that once seemed out of reach.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just the homes we’ve rebuilt, but the lives we’ve impacted along the way. Kingdom Investment Services is more than a business — it’s a testament to what’s possible when you believe in yourself, trust your purpose, and build with intention.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A Short Story of My Resilience in Real Estate
I didn’t almost quit once—I almost quit many times.
This career is hard. Every project comes with a new challenge: finding the right house, dealing with bad contractors, surprises during flips, issues with neighbors, running out of money, last-minute changes that kill your profit. It felt like every time I solved one problem, three more showed up.
The hardest season was when the real estate market crashed.
Interest rates were high, my houses weren’t selling, and I was stuck. I had to refinance just to survive, even though prepayment penalties meant I couldn’t sell when I wanted. Then came the difficult tenants, the delays, the stress, and the constant doubt.
Of course I wanted to quit. Of course I wanted to start something easier.
But I didn’t.
Because real estate can be brutal—but it can also be amazing. When you push through the struggles, you eventually see the profit grow, the values rise, and the long-term wealth you’ve been building start to appear.
That’s why I kept going:
not because it was easy, but because it was worth it.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What Helped Me Build My Reputation
I built my reputation by staying consistent, even when the market got tough. I always finished what I started, communicated honestly, and dealt with problems head-on instead of running from them. I treated people fairly — contractors, lenders, tenants, everyone. And I kept going through challenges that would’ve made most people quit.
That reliability and perseverance are what made people trust my name in the market.
