We recently connected with Carol Perez Asuaje and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Carol , thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
After 12 years in the corporate world, working for companies like CNN en Español, Twitter, Lyft and WeWork, I came to the realization that we are Human BEINGS, not human DOERS, and that completely changed my perception of reality and the course of my life. I wanted to live a life with purpose, I wanted to be at the service of people and create projects that allowed me to transform and have an impact on people’s lives, respecting my own natural rhythm…. I wanted to make them feel, to help them connect, and that is how Insidology was born.
I have been creating for four years, becoming the artist of my life, and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Carol Pérez Asuaje, originally from Venezuela but have lived in Phuket, Atlanta, San Francisco, Buenos Aires and currently based in Mexico City. I am a creative soul by nature, but for years I wouldn’t dare to explore my creativity because I was too afraid to feel – “The Iron Lady” even became one of my nicknames.
Honestly, I didn’t know what it was, I just thought it was the way I was built, but then back in 2016 I had a BIG spiritual awakening that pushed be to start exploring myself deeply. It was then when I realized that I was sexually abused as a child and that blocked me from feeling my emotions deeply.
With a lot of commitment and discipline I started working on my self with an open mind and heart, I started healing, I started seeking for answers I didn’t even know I wanted and needed so badly. I started learning about myself, the universe and our roles in it…I started consuming books like water because I was thirsty for information that would help me in this journey.
That search changed me radically, and as an expat living abroad it was really difficult to find quality and realiable information out there so I started thinking: “Why is it so hard? could it be easier? Is there any way to contribute to other people’s journeys and shorten the time and effort of self exploration?”
Those questions lead to a simple answer: “I don’t know, but I’m going to find out”
Four years ago I met Jorge, my partner, in Mexico City. He’s from Spain and we share a similar story – he was working on his dream job with the the Real Madrid team, but felt empty and also started a path of healing and going deep into himself.
We met a bar – we had CERO expectations because non of us liked going out so meeting there was a long shot, so during our first date I was completely honest, I told him: “Im a witch, I love exploring consciousness and that’s what I want to do with my life”….he answer “awesome, I’m into the same stuff – have you done any ceremonies?” That was it….
We spend months going out flirting with the idea of leaving everything behind and taking seriously our idea of a StartUp to help people in their process of growth and evolution. In a two year timeline, we finally decided to make it happen.
We started Insidolody, building bridges between mind and soul. The StartUp that is rethinking the wellness industry in Latin America by creating experiences and content for people and organizations to help them live in harmony and build extraordinary lives that make a difference in the world.
Our passion is tasting new tools to live in flow and sharing them with the people and companies that are willing to listen- and we are proud to have served over 2000 people in over 30 events across 10 cities and 6 countries of the world with our events.
We are very proud of our commitment to serve others and be of use in this wave of consciousness that is starting to grown more and more inside all humans across the world.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, I believe all forms of creativity should get us closer to feeling human and remembering our place in the world. I believe it is our responsibility to go back to unity and we can do that through our creative projects.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started by understanding I needed to be vulnerable in Social Media, sharing my journey in the most honest way I could and focusing on some of the things I wished I learned earlier in life. I started on social media as the gateway to share with my friends information, tools, stories and content that I feel that could be of help, and that is what started clicking with people.
It wasn’t about sharing, it was about creating a safe space to have conversations, to connect with a community that would make you feel less alone.
