Carly, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you manage your own social media?
Both at work and as a content creator I manage all social media accounts with the help of my intern. I have learned that sharing behind the scenes images and videos are popular with most audiences. It’s fun to show your community what it takes to make events or certain shots happen.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Carly and I’m the Marketing Coordinator for the ever popular arts, crafts and school supply brand, OOLY. I started my career here in the creative space as a creative myself and wanting to be surrounded by like minded individuals who believe in art for all. I think being familiar with the brand, having grown up with it, makes it more fun to market.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building a brand voice for OOLY that is youthful and fun without being silly or immature has been a great learning experience. As this is a product brand it can be easy to make it impersonal, but this is why you have to connect with the audience at live events and make them feel like you are listening to their feedback. Commenting on posts the brand is tagged in and reposting content helps the community feel more involved.

Fostering brand loyalty is important in such a competitive market. I do this through daily interactions on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
