Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Carlton Little. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Carlton , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
The defining moment for me came the realization that where I was in life wasn’t where I was meant to be. I was driving the vehicle using a broken gps system that had my life going in circles. It took me being completely unable to fix a situation I experienced to get to a place of seeking help outside of me and that source of help was God. I prayed and cried out for help and he answered my plea. I began to seek wisdom and understanding in the Bible and it helped me identify many flaws in my
Character and beliefs and the more I read the more I was compelled to change and ultimately I accepted that God called me to do things greater that I had qualified myself to do and so I enrolled in school to get my divinity degree and I began my ministry using my platform of health and mixed martial arts to reach people from every day walks of life

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I grew up in church but I never fully gave my life to Christ. I had head knowledge but not heart posture. Despite that God kept his arms around me and never let me get to far gone.. I knew he was always there but I still wanted to do things my way. That ultimately failed. I began mixed martial arts in 2009. I was the first sanctioned main event for mma in Tennessee. Had to opportunity to fight at a show with country star Darryl Worley as the performer. It was a great way to connect to people. I’ve always been social so mma was an opportunity for me to meet people
All over the world, I’ve been all over and met some amazing people and then my eyes were opened to the idea of using mma and health and fitness as the introduction for me to actually spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and show the love of God in my handling of other people. Mma became a vehicle for me to reach people I wouldn’t be able to with traditional ministry. I’ve been able to pray and minister and share with the other fighters at different promotions and connect with others who also love Jesus

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Well for me I’ve found a middle ground where I can train people , do my mma fights and implement my ministry . I use workouts and training as examples of what it takes to overcome
The world by having unmovable faith. Workouts can teach us a lot about ourselves. That if we can train our minds to endure pain and suffering in the gym , we can also endure the trials and tribulations of life and cleave to faith that the sun will shine bright at the end of the journey.. That’s the approach I take with my ministry and health and fitness. I blend them together to help others grow physically and spiritually to become better adapt at this thing called life.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
It goes without saying that the foundation for me is the living word of God, the Bible has helped mold me into a better man and taught me that life is not supposed to be self centered. First and foremost for me it’s Christ centered and then after that it’s about the needs and interests of others. Being able to pour into others and care about what they care about, feel the emotions they feel and overcome the struggles they have as apart of their support system.
We all are one big family. The human race so I try to love people by choice not emotion or feelings and do unto others as I myself want for myself.
