We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Carlos Sanchez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Carlos, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Our journey into aesthetics and wellness began with a deep personal interest in health and well-being. Early on, we realized that traditional medicine is focused on treating chronic illnesses where everyone is placed into the same box and “normalcy” is the goal. This sparked our desire to explore alternative methods that prioritize overall wellness rather than just treating symptoms. It was always important for us to emphasize beauty from within.
Our goal in offering wellness and holistic care is to create a supportive environment where individuals can thrive. We aim to empower clients by providing them with tools and resources that promote self-awareness and create accountability. We don’t aim for “normal” results, we aim for “optimal” results based on an individuals needs and goals. By addressing the root causes of issues and fostering a holistic perspective, we can help people achieve lasting health and fulfillment. This approach not only enhances individual well-being but also cultivates a stronger, more resilient community.

For those who do not know me, I am an interventional structural cardiologist based in Columbus, Ohio and known for exceptional expertise in treating complex heart conditions and commitment to advancing patient care. I am most known for my innovative approaches to interventional procedures, particularly in structural heart disease.
I have made significant contributions to the field, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and techniques to improve patient outcomes. I focus on minimally invasive procedures that not only reduce recovery times but also enhances the overall patient experience.
Beyond clinical practice, I am actively involved in research and have published numerous studies contributing to the evolving landscape of cardiology. My passion for holistic patient care and optimizing the health of my patient’s is what led me down the wellness path.
My partner, nurse practitioner, Dawn Kirstine Haque has exceptional commitment to patient care and holistic health and Wellness. .
Dawn’s journey into nursing was inspired by her passion for helping others and her desire to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. She believes in a patient-centered approach that emphasizes the importance of listening to patients’ needs and involving them in their care plans. This philosophy has allowed her to build strong relationships with her patients, fostering trust and collaboration. She is certified in bio-identical hormone replacement medicine, peptides and regenerative medicine.

How did you build your audience on social media?
We have had some ups and downs as far as social media is concerned but I think we are starting to get the hang of things. We have struggled with finding the right person to fit our needs and that fits our brand. It has definitely been a challenge for us from the beginning.
We know that social media plays a crucial role in the aesthetics and wellness field, serving as a powerful platform for education, engagement, and community building. One of the primary benefits of social media is its ability to reach a broad audience, allowing practitioners and wellness experts to share valuable information about treatments, procedures, and overall health practices. This democratization of information empowers individuals to make informed decisions regarding their health and beauty.
Moreover, social media fosters a sense of community among clients and practitioners. It provides a space for individuals to connect, share their experiences, and support one another on their wellness journeys. Through platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, aesthetic professionals can showcase their work, highlight success stories, and provide a behind-the-scenes look at their practices, which can build trust and credibility.
Additionally, social media is a vital tool for marketing and brand awareness. A strong online presence helps our aesthetics and wellness business attract new clients and retain existing ones. Engaging content, such as tips, before-and-after photos, and educational videos, can enhance visibility and draw attention to specific services.
Finally, social media facilitates ongoing dialogue between practitioners and clients, allowing for instant feedback and communication. This interaction can lead to improved services and a better understanding of client needs and preferences. The most important advice I would give to someone just starting out would be to hire professionals to do your social media. Do not try to do it yourself and do not try to cut corners.
How’d you meet your business partner?
My business partner Dawn Kirstine and I met in our current healthcare jobs and we work together in cardiology where we treat people at the end of their disease process and sometimes as a last resort. We realized we both had a passion for wellness and health optimization along with aesthetics and decided to work together to create a brand that focuses on health optimization for people who are really serious about wellness, longevity and healthcare goals.
