Alright, Carlos thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When you were first starting out, did you join a firm or start your own?
I established my own business in February 2019. This was by far the most scariest decision I decided to make in my life. At the time, my wife and I had our second child in January. The prior year, I had the urge to leave my well paying job to become an entrepreneur. I was excited and nervous just thinking about everything that would be involved. My faith in God and support from family made the decision easy! I have always had a passion for numbers, but my purpose was helping individuals and small businesses see their numbers more clearer!
The first year was challenging and I questioned whether or not this was the right thing to do. I thought I had everything mapped out and accounted for. The one thing you can’t predict in business are the variable costs and unexpected expenses. The biggest advice I would give to anyone is to prepare financially for the first year in business and minimize expenses. There are certain expenses that are a necessity and others that can wait! Also, there are other options besides using your personal assets for business capital.

We offer tax, accounting and insurance services to individuals and small businesses. Our clientele is comprised of 50% individuals and businesses. We have 3 core values that are displayed in our work, which is integrity, accuracy and reliability. Our professionalism and relationship building sets us apart and creates life-long clients.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Referrals from current clients are my best source.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I utilize email marketing to keep my client base engaged by distributing weekly news letters on relevant topics.
