Hi Carlos, thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Anytime anyone asks me – Carlos, what do you think it takes to be successful? My answer is always the same; (At least in the little bit of success I’ve been able to achieve so far) It is having incredible resilience. Your professional journey and your business or career journey will go side-by-side and through that journey, you will experience the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. You will more than likely fail more than you succeed! But the faster you fail and are able to recover the bigger your victory will be when you do succeed. I had to experience being financially broke to truly understand not only the transactional value of money but the mindset value of money. How to put it to work, how to attract it, and how never allow it to compromise my values and my mission in life and business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I’ve been an Insurance Broker for about 12 years now but to this date, I’ve never met a single person that ever said; “I want to be an insurance broker when I grow up.” To me, insurance is very personal. I come from a very financially challenged background and my family was neither successful nor financially literate. When my grandfather died of pancreatic cancer, I saw firsthand what having no life insurance or savings can do to a family. It can destroy it! I began my journey as a Life Insurance Agent because I wanted to help families never go through what my family went through. As my business has evolved and I’ve evolved as a Broker, we now offer not only Life Insurance but a number of different services and alternatives for anyone looking to complement their income and retirement. We focus on Crypto, Forex, E-Commerce, and Infinite Banking. My motto is: Financial Freedom can only come after Financial Literacy. And though a lot of our clients are high net worth individuals, we show them alternative ways to put their money to work without taking unnecessary risks in the market and subjecting themselves to its volatility. A perfect example is Forex (Foreign Exchange Market Trading) which can benefit you in both a bear and bull market.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

The biggest lesson that I had to unlearn about my backstory was that “people like me aren’t supposed to make it.” I came to the United States without the ability to speak English and grew up in a drug and crime-infested environment. I had very little support and at times throughout my entrepreneurial journey, I felt like I was kidding myself and constantly suffered from impostor syndrome. But through competence, comes confidence and now I KNOW that I am one of the best in my field. I have incredible support and amazing partners that help me run my business which went from Zero to now 8 figures in revenue. A number that I could only have dreamed of.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I built my reputation by being me and never faking it. What you see is what you get. I don’t change the way I carry myself with anyone and I always treat everyone with the utmost respect and dignity. I give everyone the best version of me no matter what. A version that I am constantly working to improve and be better than I was the day before. I used to be a fighter and as such, one of the early lessons I learned is that there is always someone else who’s working harder and getting better than you are. That there are levels to everything and that school is never out for the pro. My competition stares at me every day in the mirror and everybody else is my collaborator.
