Carlos, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear how you think where to draw the line in terms of asking friends and family to support your business – what’s okay and what’s over the line?
Castle Comfort began slowly in 2018, but with the help of friends, family, the community and our business ethic, we began to propel forward. Customer service, attention to detail, and our promise and delivery of quality work, have kept us moving forward. We strongly believe there is a customer for everyone if you are honest, stay focused, are determined to better your skill, and deliver a quality-guaranteed service, those around you or who you provide services to will not hesitate to recommend your business. We are beyond grateful to our friends, family and the San Diego Community.
My wife of 19 years, Irene also plays a key role in Castle Comfort. She is the President and manages the office while I am out on the field overseeing projects. We work as a team to run the business smoothly.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We provide both residential and commercial HVAC and light Plumbing services. In recent years, we have seen a rise in the demand for indoor air quality products.
What sets us apart, is not only the years of experience and knowledge, but our dedication to build trust in the community. We are not just looking to make a sale, we want to build a reputable name. We are a small local business, but we are able to provide great products and excellent warranties at no additional cost to you.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
This trade is highly competitive, most of the large companies have extensive capital to invest or come from families that can help them start their businesses, but that is not me. I began with zero capital and did not give up on what once was a dream; to create a strong-trustworthy business. I am thankful for the support of my wife, children, friends, family and the community. Ultimately, the knowledge, service, and experience you provide a customer with will set you apart.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Our largest source for new customers isn’t through paid marketing, it is through referrals from previous customers. One of the best feelings as a business owner has to be when a customer calls and says they were referred to Castle Comfort by friends or family members who spoke highly about the work that was performed and the excellent customer service provided.
